Chapter 1353 – Counterattack In Desperate Situation (4)
In the next second, blazing flames slammed down into the wide platform like rain. The fist-sized fireballs were very
accurate as they blasted everything without letting Shen Yanxiao have any accident.
The elves who had surrounded Shen Yanxiao let out a series of shrill screams under the scorching flames. The bright
red flames burned their gorgeous and exquisite clothing while the hot temperature roasted their white skin.
The elves of the Qingyuan Tribe fell in agony, wailing all over the ground.
The hegemon in the sky, the gigantic firebird, converged the red flames on its body under the gasping sounds of the
elves, and gradually turned into a petite figure which slowly fell from the sky and stood firmly beside Shen Yanxiao.
“A crowd of idiots who have no idea of death, she is not someone you could set your hands on.” Vermillion Bird’s
face did not have the little bit of playfulness and cuteness it had on ordinary days. On his head was obviously red
hair, and that was obviously a pair of fiery red eyes, but it made all the elves feel the coldness of a chilly winter
approaching, and that stifling, murderous aura.
Shen Yanxiao smiled and narrowed her eyes, watching the elves above the arena as they kept rolling on the ground
and trying to extinguish the flames on their bodies.
“Keep their lives, I don’t want a murder case to happen here.” Shen Yanxiao said indifferently. Not that she did not
have the courage to kill them; she merely did not want to delay her entry into the Moonshine City because of some
feeble stones blocking her way.
They did not have the qualifications, nor were they worthy to be killed by her.
Vermillion Bird raised and waved his finger and the flames that had spread on the elves, after hearing Vermillion
Bird’s call, quickly separated from the elves’ bodies as if they had a life of their own, then flew back to Vermillion
Bird in no time.
The flames that tormented ten or so elves condensed into a small flame the size of a fingernail at the fingertip of
Vermillion Bird, and with a gentle blow from Vermillion Bird, it was quietly extinguished.
Above the platform, there were only the pitiful-looking elves whose hair and clothes were all burned. The flames
did not kill them, but burned everything that could burn quickly.
Long hair, eyelashes, eyebrows, clothes…
The incomparably proud elves were now like white chickens after all of their feathers had been plucked out as they
curled up their burned bodies and lay on the cold platform, groaning in pain.
Shui Miao who was under the arena had been scared silly by everything that happened before his own eyes. He shot
Shen Yanxiao a stunned look and then glanced at Vermillion Bird beside her.
He was not an idiot and knew that Vermillion Bird was a Mythological Beast.
However, he did not understand why a magical beast, which had always never minded the elves’ affairs before,
would suddenly help an elf get out of a predicament.
Shen Yanxiao kicked up the bloody badge of Shui Miao with her toes and caught it with her hand.
With a grin on her lips, she looked at the badge on her hand that was exactly the same as the one pinned on her chest
and then looked at Shui Miao with great interest.
“I will take this badge. Are you going to apply for another one or go to the Moonlight Coast of your own will?”
Shen Yanxiao placed the silver badge that once belonged to Shui Miao inside her storage ring as she spoke.
Shui Miao shivered as he looked at Shen Yanxiao. Shen Yanxiao did not wipe away the blood on the badge. Even if
Shui Miao were not at all ashamed to carry a new badge, the badge in Shen Yanxiao’s hands would become his
weakness she was in control of.
The blood smeared on it represented Shui Miao. As long as Shen Yanxiao took out the badge, she could prove
everything that happened today: that Shui Miao was not only defeated at her hands, but had also became a
shameless individual ridiculed by all the elves for not abiding by his promise.
