Chapter 837 – Releasing the Giant Spirit Clan
Shua –
Senior Lin appeared in front of Yun Die. He asked in a low voice, “What happened? Where did mister go?”
Yun Die opened and closed her mouth repeatedly. “I don’t know.”
She was also confused.
Qin Yu stepped out of the mirror world, separating himself from the structured illusion. Then, he saw what was occurring atop the frantic sea.
Strong winds roared and endless waves shot into the skies. They rumbled as they splashed back down, like a heavy rainstorm was occurring.
Looking through the waves, Qin Yu could feel the chaotic auras coming from that direction. And, one of those auras belonged to Dorelis.
As for those that were wildly besieging her…they were the Giant Spirit Clan!
Whoosh –
Qin Yu immediately accelerated. The air whistled as he sped forward.
…
A large sturdy ship sailed across the sea, releasing loud and harsh creaking sounds. If it weren’t for both sides taking the ship itself into consideration, then it would have long since collapsed and disintegrated and been sucked up by the black waters below.
The Xue Sisters were hiding in their cabin. They looked up at the skies above the ship where both sides were fighting.
When a group of Giant Spirit Clan cultivators appeared, their first thought was that these people had come for them. But, they soon realized this wasn’t the case.
These people were targeting Dorelis!
And it was only at this moment that the Xue Sisters experienced how terrifying Dorelis was. Even though she was fighting by herself, she wasn’t at a disadvantage at all.
In fact, she even gave off a feeling that everything was within her control.
Pure and bright holy light carried with it a burning hot aura as it howled around, forcing the giant spirit clansmen to retreat again and again. And as time passed, they discovered to their horror that their strength was being suppressed and their energy was dissipating.
Holy light constantly gathered and grew in the skies above, nearly condensing into essence that released a horrifying aura.
This feeling was like an entire mountain had fallen on their chests, making it difficult to breathe!
This woman was actually so unexpectedly powerful, and yet she resigned herself to following at Qin Yu’s side. Then, his true strength…
So Big Brother Qin was actually fiercer than they imagined!
This misunderstanding caused Qin Yu’s standing in the hearts of the Xue Sisters to rapidly rise. But soon they would discover that their estimation of him still wasn’t accurate.
“If we can’t kill her then hurry and retreat!”
A Giant Spirit Clan cultivator roared. He raised a hand and punched out at the holy light that was shooting at him. But, when the holy light exploded, the fragments still cut open deep wounds on his body.
The man frowned. He landed and turned to flee.
Dorelis had a faint expression. Her eyes were icy cold. “You Giant Spirit Clan remnants, you dare to approach me of your own accord…all of you are going to die!”
Bang –
Above her head, endless holy light started to burn as the temperature wildly rose. The sea waters down below began to boil.
At this time, Dorelis suddenly furrowed her eyebrows together. In the next moment the burning holy light split apart into numerous pieces. Each one collapsed inwards on itself and contracted, becoming blazing meteorites that blasted in all directions.
Each holy light meteorite had locked onto a giant spirit clansman and stubbornly suppressed their aura. They had no choice but to forcefully block them.
The giant spirit clansmen that had been locked onto revealed expressions of despair. They realized that their decision to kill Dorelis after receiving the message was the wrong one to make.
Hum –
Hum –
Space suddenly shook, turning into thick mud that wrapped around the holy light meteorites, slowing them down until they came to a stop.
The Giant Spirit Clan cultivators had been saved from death. They looked at the holy light meteorites that were right in front of them, panic and dread overcoming their hearts.
They were sure that if these meteorites crashed into them, every single giant spirit clansman that came here today would die without a burial ground.
Dorelis’ eyes started to shine before she composed herself. She turned around, her expression full of aggrieved injustice. “Qin Yu, this time they came to me and tried to kill me. Are you still going to stop me?”
Qin Yu was expressionless. “No wonder you suddenly agreed to help bring them to Dragon City. You should have sensed the aura of these giant spirit clansmen already.”
Welcoming his eyes, Dorelis didn’t deny it. She curled her lips and said, “I didn’t ask them to try and kill me.”
Qin Yu said, “I promise that the Giant Spirit Clan will never attack you again. Let them off this time.”
Dorelis raised an eyebrow, “Qin Yu, I have already given you face once.”
“Then give it to me one more time.”
“Don’t push things too far!” Dorelis said with a fierce look.
Qin Yu no longer looked at her. With a flick of his sleeves, the burning holy light meteorites were slowly swallowed up.
He looked over the giant spirit clansmen and said, “Over the countless years, the Giant Spirit Clan has paid a steep enough price. Now, you may all let go of your burdens and return home. You can wait for a new era to arrive and for your clan to receive a new life. Believe me, that day is not far away.”
“Who are you? Why did you save us?” A tall giant spirit clansman asked.
“Patriarch, at Vast Sea City it was this lord who rescued us.” Several giant spirit clansmen stood out and nodded towards Qin Yu with gratitude.
Hong Shao took a deep breath and said, “After the High Ancestor and the others were murdered, it was this lord who brought us out of the yellow sand world. Without him, we would have died there.”
She respectfully bowed.
The current Patriarch’s complexion changed. He bowed and said, “I thank you for saving the lives of my clansmen several times.” Then he stood up straight and continued, “But since the birth of my clan, we have shouldered a mission that we cannot ignore. While I appreciate your good intentions, I must decline them.”
Qin Yu furrowed his eyebrows. His aura suddenly changed. Like an awakening great beast, a boundlessly ancient aura spread outwards, covering the entire Giant Spirit Clan.
A dual suppression that came from the bloodline and soul caused the complexions of the giant spirit clansmen to change. They couldn’t help but crawl onto the ground and submit themselves.
This…this was….
The current Patriarch’s eyes flew open. Because of his excitement, he began to tremble.
Hong Shao was the only giant spirit clansman that could still look up at Qin Yu. As she sensed his aura, her face flushed red.
Qin Yu opened his mouth and slowly said, “In the yellow sand word, I successfully recovered and returned. The life mission of the Giant Spirit Clan has been completed. You may return home and await my orders.”
Hong Shao’s tears fell down.
So the High Ancestor and the others hadn’t died in vain. They had used their lives to help the master return to life.
The current Patriarch bowed deeply, “Yes, master!”
Qin Yu knew that if he wanted to, he could easily obtain the loyalty of the Giant Spirit Clan and make them walk through fire or water for him.
But at the level that Qin Yu now touched, even if he were to summon all the power of the Giant Spirit Clan, they would still be as fragile as a bubble, easily destroyed.
If so, then why not release them and allow this sorrowful and sad clan to experience freedom.
The Giant Spirit Clan left. They carried with them endless joy and expectations. The mission that their clan had inherited from their creation had now been accomplished, and they no longer needed to shoulder that heavy burden. When their master stood upon the peak of the world once more, they would no longer need to hide in the shadows and eke out an ignoble existence. They could hold their heads high and walk beneath the sunlight.
The Xue Sisters were huddled up and brought to the Giant Spirit Clan’s great ship hidden at the seabed. Since the Giant Spirit Clan appeared, then going to Dragon City was meaningless. The Giant Spirit Clan’s territory was the safest place to be.
Even until now, the Xue Sister’s hearts were shaken. They never imagined that their Big Brother Qin had hidden himself so deeply. Just who was he?
Xue Qingqing bit her lips. At this time, something within her eyes was finally extinguished. It slowly faded into nothingness.
Xue Yueyue watched all of this happen. She held her sister’s hand and squeezed tight, saying, “You silly girl, how can you still not understand? Big Brother Qin is a divine dragon that hovers in the highest heavens; he isn’t someone that you or I can stay around. To know him and stay with him for a period of time is already our greatest stroke of good fortune, otherwise we would have died already.”
Xue Qingqing was silent for some time. She raised her hands and wiped her eyes. “I know, big sister.” She smiled, “I won’t have any other thoughts. But, I will remember Big Brother Qin for the rest of my life.”
Xue Yueyue rubbed her head and gently sighed. Wasn’t she also the same? She just didn’t have this silly girl’s courage to say it out loud.
Big Brother Qin, if we never meet again, I wish you a good life from here on out.
