Chapter 310 - New Train Of Thought

Demons Beside You

Chapter 310: New Train Of Thought

It would be weirder if he would feel better!

Jonal struggled in fear, but Chen Zhao was stronger.

Just then, Blackie said, “Human, if you want them to be in more pain, you can use the Flesh Fusion Spell to connect their bodies. This way, they can share their pain. You can also connect an object to them.”

“What’s the point of that?”

“After connecting them, you can attack them by attacking the object.”

“Is it like the Bloodline Blend Spell?”

“No. Bloodline Blend is connecting souls of people with blood relations. It’s a coexistence. On the other hand, Flesh Fusion completely forces two bodies or objects to be fused together into a new creature.”

Chen Zhao kind of understood. Bloodline Blend was like Movich Tutas, fusing his relatives’ souls into his body. Flesh Fusion was for fusing solid objects.

“Are there are any special conditions for fusing items with their bodies?”

“It can be any object. At least, most items can be used. For example, if you connect a cup to them, they’ll die when you shatter the cup.”

Chen Zhao got an idea. “What if I connect three items to Movich Tutas’s body and then move the three souls onto the items? Would that work?”

Blackie was stunned. “Hey, that seems to work. It technically doesn’t change anything, but it can make Movich Tutas go back to normal. There’s one thing though. If the items he’s connected to get destroyed, he’ll also die.”

Before this, Chen Zhao, Blackie and the other demons only considered how to extract the three souls from Movich Tutas. However, they’d already become one. Taking them out meant that they would die.

Blackie’s unexpected interjection gave Chen Zhao another direction to think.

“Then how about I fuse him with something strong and indestructible. Would that work?”

“There are no truly indestructible items, but you can replace it with a badge. Badges are hard to destroy.”

Chen Zhao thought for a moment. He’d have to ask Beelzebub Zofee to help get badges. He didn’t need any special functions. It just had to have regular effects like the Redmoon Heart.

Chen Zhao looked around and picked up two goblets. Dell looked at him in confusion. Did Chen Zhao want to drink wine?

But then he discovered that Chen Zhao’s actions were strange. He took a drop of blood each from Bart and Jonal and dripped it into the goblet. It looked like he was doing some ritual.

A few minutes later, Chen Zhao said to Dell, “You can call the cops now.”

“Call the cops? You’re letting them go?”

“Of course. Do you really want to kill them?” Chen Zhao rolled his eyes. “Look at them right now. They’re like a pile of mud. Isn’t it more interesting when they’re alive?”

Dell looked at the supposed mud and shrugged. “Fine, whatever you say. How will you explain when the cops come?”

“They broke into my home while armed and my pets attacked them to protect us. I don’t know how they ended up like this.”

A while later, the cops came. David happened to be the leader.

“Chen, what happened?” Seeing how Chen Zhao was shirtless and had gauze all over his shoulder and chest, he couldn’t help but get anxious.

“These two call themselves Jewel Pirate. Fali and I attended a fashion show and they got their eyes on us…”

Of every ten sentences, Chen Zhao only lied once. He told the truth about everything except turning them into vegetables for revenge.

David was familiar with Chen Zhao, so he knew some of these things. However, he only had to confirm their identities. As for whether they ended up like this because of Chen Zhao’s revenge, he didn’t care to ask.

Chen Zhao didn’t think that David would be the leader either. He wasn’t from Beverly Hills’ department, right?

“David, how come you’re responsible for this area?”

“I got moved to be the crime investigation captain at Beverly Hills yesterday.”

“Oh, let me introduce you to Dell, my friend. He lives nearby.”

“Hi, David. Come hang out when you’re free.”

After everything, David left with his men. Dell went home as well. Chen Zhao had Black Ma accompany Dell for a bit, since it was at night.

Next day.

Chen, how come these goblets broke?” Fali was cleaning up in the morning.

“They’re just useless trash,” Chen Zhao said, stretching. “Who knows how they broke? We usually drink beer instead of wine. I think we should just toss them out.”

A while later, Dell came over. Instead of taking Faith away, he brought two more troublemakers.

Vera and Ronnie went to find Faith in the morning. Hearing that she was at Chen Zhao’s house instead and that he had three new bears, they insisted on coming to play.

After getting Lora and Risfar’s permission, Dell brought the kids to Chen Zhao’s house.

Princess was lazily sunbathing by the pool. Faith, Ronnie, and Vera played happily with Bramble and Briar.

“Principal, you seem spirited these days.”

Wright replied to the praise with a smile. It was just “spirited.” In order to not get discovered, she even put on some makeup to look older.

She went to the meeting room. There were some deans and figures of the management level.

“Let’s get straight to the point today,” Wright said.

“Wright, I discovered an unfamiliar name in the medical school’s system. Zhao Chen, specially invited professor, traditional Chinese medicine. I also checked his attendance record. It seems that he hasn’t held any classes. Can you explain this?”

The speaker was Fasbind, dean of the medical department. He used to be under Wright. Now that Wright was the principal, he became the dean.

“This is a professor that I appreciate,” Wright said indifferently. “Must I explain?”

In UCLA, Wright had the highest seniority, status, and power. She didn’t have to explain her motives and intentions to anyone, especially someone who used to be under her.

“Wright, you’re abusing your power.”

“Please, Fasbind. Don’t talk about abusing power. I just became the principal. Can’t I enjoy my power a bit?” Wright’s reply was rascally.

Everyone in the room chuckled wryly. Half of them had been her student. They couldn’t say anything.

Even though this professor had a title of being a lecturer for traditional Chinese medicine, his salary was zero. Thus, Wright wasn’t really using her special power to benefit herself.

They were also familiar with her. She was very strict. For example, Fasbind had worked in the school for 20 years before becoming an official professor.

Fasbind was only curious about this “Zhao Chen.” He didn’t actually want to go against Wright.

“Okay, next topic. I don’t want you to doubt someone I chose anymore.”

“Principal, the University of California joint sports competition is starting soon. We haven’t chosen a leader yet. The athletic team’s representative also requested a budget of $200,000 from the school.”

The University of California was made up of ten universities throughout the state, including UCLA. There was no hierarchy between these schools. They shared staff and resources.

Of course, even though they were all UC schools, there was obviously still competition. They would compete over everything, from academics to athletics. There was also a sports competition every year. The ten schools would compete against each other.

“That’s impossible,” Wright said. “What would the $200,000 be used for? Does training require that much? They usually train in our school and don’t use that much money. Plus, the event will be held on our campus this year. Why would they need $200,000?”
