Chapter 279

Commanding Wind and Cloud

Chapter 279: Never Flinch! Unyielding Glory

Fanta Kunge twinkled and swiftly jumped down into the hole as Qian Jin had clarified explicitly. The terrestrial heat here could melt the metal essence absorbed just in the same way the burning fire could melt the metal.

To remove the impurities inside the body that go there via the absorbed fine metal essence from the very beginning, one had to go through refining and purifying.

After Qian Jin experienced the process of burying a man alive, he then turned away, looked at the hole dug for him and took out the Iron-arm Mantis Bloodline Fighting Technique from the warrior dimension.

Wind and Cloud Warrior Power could imitate the Iron-arm Mantis Bloodline, though with a functioning resemblance of eighty percent. After acquiring Warrior Heart Consciousness, the performance could be lifted to ninety percent. While during the special experience where Enlak placed heavy pressure on him, the similarity nearly reached one hundred percent.

Read it. Read it once again. Qian Jin had the inkling that his simulation of the Iron-arm Mantis Bloodline Fighting Technique through Wind and Cloud Warrior Power could reach up to ninety-nine percent, if not a hundred. He must have missed something.

The moment the scroll was unfolded, Qian Jin saw a glaring beam of sunlight radiating on its surface, and the scroll seemed to be squirming while the heat in the air was…this was…

Qian Jin looked at the light radiated from the scroll just to find that the picture of the Iron-arm Mantis Bloodline Warriors in the Human-Demon Battlefront drawn on the front was projected to the sky!

Mirage. Qian Jin blankly gazed as the picture projected into the sky turned slowly grew clearer.

Then the picture was completely vivid where the roaring wind seemed to have echoed in the growling voices of the innumerable humans and demons in the battle. The previously motionless picture now appeared animated as a result of tumbling air in the mirage.

Upwards of thirty Iron-arm Mantis Bloodline Warriors were fighting violently with the sieging demons. Somewhere not far from the battlefront stood a huge canopy, a special symbol familiar to every warrior apprentice admitted into the warrior academies, the canopy of the carriage of the current Demon King.

Thirty people, the canopy of the Demon King, and his millions of demon soldiers.

These thirty people charged and led a dauntless attack towards the Demon King’s canopy. No one flinched even one inch in the face of the millions of demons. Wielding their robust arms which were stiffer than blades, they kept marching forward.

Thirty. Twenty-nine. Twenty-eight. Eighteen. Eight. Seven. Three. One. The number of the Iron-Arm Mantis Bloodline Warriors was decreasing fast. But every time an Iron-arm Mantis Bloodline Warrior fell down, there would be many demons perishing alongside him.

No surrendering. No flinching. No yielding.

This small group of thirty advanced until they reached the canopy of the Demon King and then came to their end in peace and glory.

Until the end of the battle, not one of the thirty-man group waivered or surrendered. They demonstrated with their lives the tenet of dashing forward without flinching or yielding. The heroic history of the Iron-Arm Mantis Bloodline Family was unraveled in the tumbling scroll.

Qian Jin felt a little suffocated; as if for the first time, the spirits of these Iron-arm Mantis Bloodline Warrior thousands of years ago were now awakened by the roaring wind.

At this moment, Qian Jin felt that he was back in the bloody cruel battle where the Iron-Arm Mantis Bloodline Warriors had lost all hope of victory. If they surrendered, their lives might be saved, but if they persisted, they would only end up perishing.

And at this moment, his contempt of the Iron-arm Mantis Bloodline Family who betrayed Zence and went off to the Demons vanished into the void, while what was left in his mind was sheer respect and astonishment.

All of a sudden, Qian Jin seemed to have felt the beating of his Warrior Heart while this series of images had been graved deep into his memory.

The mirage scene didn’t last long, but it had deeply touched Qian Jin’s soul with its heartrending tragic heroism.

Who said that Iron-Arm Mantis Bloodline Warriors were all nasty cowards? What was this? It was the real spirits of these warriors which had returned to the stars long ago.

Fight to the death. Never flinch or give up. Dash forward, over and over again. Never look back.

Qian Jin looked at the sky without traces of the mirage indulged in his pondering on the Iron-Arm Mantis Bloodline Warriors. He used to look down on these warriors who shamelessly kowtowed at the Demons, even when he was performing Dividing Metal Multi-Chops

But now, the scenes revealed in the mirage subverted all historical records.

Those scenes couldn’t be the creations of sheer imagination by the painters, but the products of someone’s real-life experiences of that battle. As the scroll was drawn with heavy brushwork of the Demons, one could presume that it was the memoir of a member of a Demon which was then obtained by the Iron-Arm Mantis Family later on and affixed to the training technique.

Qian Jin lifted his arms subconsciously, which stirred the sands into the air and formed a big vortex centering on him with a radius of…one meter.

The Warrior Heart entailed not only an external form but the spirits of the Iron-arm Mantis Family mixed with Warrior Heart Consciousness. That was the world that belonged to Qian Jin.

He used to think he would have to suffer for a long period of time before having the opportunity to find his own world, but the opportunity knocked sooner than expected.

Qian Jin lowered his head and looked at the scroll. “Do you want me to display the glory that you once possessed to the world?”

He got no reply. What echoed in his ears was the roaring wind in the Ancient Desert Sea which sounded like the whispering of the Iron-arm Mantis Bloodline Family.

Qian Jin tucked away the scroll in silence and buried himself in the sandpit. Under the Warrior Heart which produced an influx of heat, the surrounding sand was driven into the pit to cover Qian Jin up.

Since the Iron Body level of the Wind and Cloud Golden Body couldn’t fend off the beating of Qian Zhanxuan, why not try with the next level – Steel Body? If the Steel Body failed again, what about practicing the Silver Body? Then the Golden Body, in case that the Silver Body failed too.

Qian Wushan? No. Qian Jin adjusted the sequence of his warrior power constantly while pondering on the genius of the Qian Family, Qian Wushan. No, this youngster was not qualified enough to be deemed as the target at present, unless he could reach the ultimate awakening. The strongest person in the Qian Family was Qian Zhanxuan, so Qian Jin had to defeat him to have the Qian Family set his father free as well as forcing them to pay for the pain and suffering they imposed on his father.

With tumbling of heat infused into Qian Jin’s body, he felt that his Wind and Cloud Golden Body seemed to have been burnt down in a blink. Although the heat flux he was experiencing now could be compared to that in the center of the heated lake in Four Seasons Valley, it had already gone beyond his tolerance.

Burning. Baking. Baking. Burning.

Fanta Kunge felt that his bones had been burnt apart. The fifth time he rushed out of the sandpit, he found that the bronze saber grasped in his hand had disappeared. Under the catalyzing of the burning heat, the absorption of metal essence was much faster than before, as his two bronze sabers had already been ago. In the past, they required a number of days to be fully absorbed.

“Eighteen…nineteen…twenty…”

Fanta Kunge was sitting on the burning sand as he counted his warrior reservoirs quietly. This growth-type warrior power training scroll was no longer as easy as the past and had increased from twelve warrior reservoirs to twenty.

Fast. Incredibly fast! Fanta Kunge looked at his hands, feeling that the cultivating of Gold Essence Warrior Power was unbelievably fast in this place; it produced faster results than ever!

The only disadvantage…Fanta Kunge raised his arms and took a deep breath, through which a faint smell of roast chicken wing floated to his nose. The temperature of sand here was really appalling, which, with the rising of the sun, became stronger too. He wondered whether they would be burnt to death before the Gold Essence Warrior Power was fully attained.

Fanta Kunge sprinted to the cave to fetch a new bronze saber and saw Duren Burg playing with a khaki-colored stone which was about the size of a fist.

“Is this the magic core of the Sand Python?” Fanta Kunge bent over to pick up the bronze saber Qian Jin placed down prior. “Is this still powerful?”

“Yes.” Duren Burg grimaced. “It seems its power hasn’t been given out. Let’s wait for Qian Jin to check whether the magic array in it could be unraveled.”

Fanta Kung nodded his head. Every magic core had magic arrays in it, by which the demon beasts could perform magic spells. Thus the rune artists would sometimes design their products with reference to the magic arrays contained in these natural magic cores.

However, to extract the magic arrays from the magic cores was no easy task, as many of them were blocked from being seen by the rune artists, let alone extracting them.

“Your Highness…”

“Rafal, what has happened? Have they left here?” Lucifer Lucy nibbled her cracked lips, raised her head, and had a resentful look on her face while waiting for the Blood Bat Bloodline Warrior, Rafal, to answer her question. Hatred was also carved in her left eye, and it seemed like more hatred and even murderous light appeared where her right eye used to be.

“Nope…” Rafal raised his eyes, which looked gray and blank as if nothing was seen by him. He shook his head at Lucifer Lucy and continued: “Honorable princess, I’ve heard from the wind that the warrior has become stronger and more fluent in controlling the Warrior Heart Consciousness.”

“What?” Lucifer Lucy suddenly rose up and flung her long black hair amongst the wind. “Stronger? Has he got the Dark Demon Armor?”

“No.” Rafal slightly shook his head, “I don’t think they have found the Dark Demon Armor.”

“This is not the end.” Lucifer Lucy looked deep into the Ancient Desert Sea. “Now that they don’t want to leave, we shall conjure some forces to expel them or directly extinguish them.”

“Your highness…” Rafal was shocked and looked at Lucifer Lucy. “You…you cannot take the risk to go deep into the Ancient Desert Sea, as no one knows for sure what’s hidden there. If…”

“I cannot wait one more second.” Lucifer Lucy lifted her head and covered her eye sockets which twitched again out of anger. “Every time I think of the guy who took away my eye, I would feel irrepressibly eager to kill him. It is said that the all-mighty Demon God lives by the end of the Ancient Desert Sea. Though I might not be able to see the Demon God, attracting some high-level demon beasts to kill them can be done.”
