Chapter 221 - Jiang Yi, Receive the Decree!
Fury Towards The Burning Heaven
Chapter 221: Jiang Yi, Receive the Decree!
Withdrawing his mind, Jiang Yi took a few suspicious glances and checked it a few more times—even taking out the Black Scale Sword to check again. He was finally able to confirm that this impressive-looking Fire Dragon Sword had a restriction array that was indeed defective.
After fusing with the Fire Spirit Pearl, this saint artifact still actually had a defect?
“I have been defrauded? Could this be a useless sword?”
Jiang Yi mumbled to himself and casually circulated a wisp of essence force into the Fire Dragon Sword, gently slashing in front of him.
“Tsk-Tsk!”
The Fire Dragon Sword flourished with red lights which converged into two fire dragon patterns that swam along the body of the sword before it suddenly emerged from the sword. Two congealed fire dragons whizzed ahead, swelling up as it went against the wind—ultimately turning into two fire dragons which were three feet long as they crashed onto the wall!
“The hell!”
Jiang Yi immediately burst in retreat, immediately holding onto his head as he squatted at the corner of the room.
“Boom!”
The two fire dragons turned the wall in front into dust, wrecking open a huge hole while the entire room shook, nearly collapsing.
“The f*ck!”
Jiang Yi took a glance and frantically kept the Fire Dragon Sword. Seven or eight figures shot out immediately from the rooms nearby while Principal Qi shouted out from far away, “Jiang Yi, what is the situation?”
“No… nothing…”
Jiang Yi had this awkward expression smeared across his face as he walked through the huge hole and spoke apologetically, “I was cultivating a martial skill early and accidentally went overboard…”
“…”
Principal Qi and the others rolled their eyes. Cultivating a martial skill in an inn was probably something only Jiang Yi would do, right? What’s more, this was the imperial capital; if it was just a tad bit louder, it would have been troublesome to alert the imperial guards.
“Liu Lao, go settle this.”
Qian Wanguan, who was outside the door, got so frightened that his butt dropped right on the ground. He thought that someone was attacking, and he was just about to yell out for Liu Lao to rescue him. It was only now that he realized it was a false alarm. When Qian Wanguan saw the inn’s guard which came over after hearing the commotion, he immediately gestured to Liu Lao for him to go settle the aftermath.
When everyone scattered, Qian Wanguan suspiciously looked at Jiang Yi and asked, “Boss, what were you doing? This is the imperial capital, and if things went haywire, even I wouldn’t be able to settle it.”
Jiang Yi rubbed his hands and spoke with fiery passion, “I just tested out the Fire Dragon Sword, and the result was… slightly overwhelming.”
“Damn! That is a saint artifact, right? How could the power be weak? Fortunately, you didn’t use your full strength, or you might have leveled the entire inn!”
Black lines appeared on Qian Wanguan’s face before he suddenly thought of something and exclaimed, “Something is wrong. Boss, how did you wield the Fire Dragon Sword? This is a saint artifact which is impossible for you to refine it in such a short time, right?”
“Hehe!”
Jiang Yi didn’t explain much as this matter was rather hard to explain clearly. He followed Qian Wanguan to another room which was in good condition. Jiang Yi only asked after they entered the room, “Wanguan, how much do you know about the restriction arrays in the artifacts?”
“I know a few things about it. What’s wrong, Boss?”
Qian Wanguan blinked his eyes and saw Jiang Yi’s Fire Spirit Pearl glowing up, which was followed by the appearance of the Fire Dragon Sword. His eyes immediately lit up as he was moved. “Tsk-Tsk, saint artifact. Great item!”
Jiang Yi handed the Fire Dragon Sword over to Qian Wanguan and asked with doubt, “There is a defective restriction within this saint artifact. Only one portion of it is in good condition. Try to sense it.”
“What can I sense?! With my strength, I can’t even refine saint artifacts; how do I even sense it?”
Qian Wanguan held onto the Fire Dragon Sword and casually brandished it, muttering for a short moment before he spoke, “All artifacts must have a complete restriction array in order to release the highest firepower. If your saint artifact is defective, then the firepower must have taken a huge blow. If it is a spirit or heaven artifact, you could find a Tool Refinement Master to repair it. There is no way to repair a saint artifact.”
“Oh, okay!”
Jiang Yi took back the Fire Dragon Sword and was even more bewildered now.
When he casually wielded the sword, he could feel the power of this defective saint artifact—which fused with the Fire Spirit Pearl—wasn’t any inferior compared to the Man-Ruler Seal and World-Extinguishing Silver Necklace. If the restriction was completed in this saint artifact, how much more powerful would it be? Would it still be considered a saint artifact?
It was deep into the night; hence, Jiang Yi asked Qian Wanguan to go back and rest. He sat cross-legged on the bed and expelled all distractions, forcing himself to calm down and began comprehending the third rank of the Nameless Divine Art.
The first rank of the Nameless Divine Art gave Jiang Yi the mystical black essence force. The second rank increased the upper limit of the black essence force to 1000 wisps. Now with the third rank, Jiang Yi was filled with expectation.
After several hours later, the sky outside began white like the belly of the fish, Jiang Yi still wasn’t able to comprehend anything.
Jiang Yi’s instincts had always been superior, and he only required a few hours to comprehend the chanting of the first and second rank. This third rank was extremely profound which he had no way to crack into.
“Shh-shh-shh!”
Rustling noises echoed from the outside; someone had awakened. Jiang Yi had no choice but to take a temporary pause for now. He had plenty of time later on, which he would use to slowly comprehend it.
Closing his eyes for a moment, Qian Wanguan began to knock on his door one hour later. The college’s army had prepared to teleport to the Divine Martial Kingdom before going back to the Mt. Spirit Beast College.
After rinsing his mouth and washing his face, Jiang Yi hastily ate some breakfast before he followed the others on the carriages back to the city plaza.
After he arrived at the city plaza, Yun Fei was accompanied by Gu Te and Huo Shu as she walked over and whispered, “Jiang Yi, Qian Wanguan. I am returning to my kingdom for a period of time. I can only return to the college once the situation has been stabilized. Of course… I might never return in this life, too. If there is an opportunity, I welcome you to have some fun at the Heaven Mystics Kingdom where I will receive you with magnificent hospitality.”
“Huh…”
Jiang Yi and Qian Wanguan exchanged looks and subconsciously turned to look at Zhan Wushuang. Jiang Yi nodded. “Send us a message if there is any problem. If things look bad, then evacuate from the Heaven Mystics Kingdom, or go to the college. Coming over to the Divine Martial Kingdom is fine, too. Heaven will always offer a road to the desperate.”
Yun He was dead, and there must be many hidden motions in the Heaven Mystics Kingdom. Yun Fei might have Huo Shu and Gu Te’s Soul Seal, but it might enrage their clans, allying together to deal with Yun Fei. She was a weak lady involved in such a power struggle, and Jiang Yi was inevitably concerned.
“En!”
Yun Fei nodded and looked at Zhan Wushuang with deep feelings. She then resolutely led a group of people and entered a teleportation array, heading towards the Heaven Mystics Kingdom.
“Let’s depart!”
Jiang Yi could see Zhan Wushuang’s sad expression; he patted on Zhan Wushuang’s shoulder while Qian Wanguan came over and spoke softly, “Don’t worry, Brother Wushuang. After I return, I will do my best to convince my clan to assist Princess Yun Fei from the shadows. If Prince Yun Xian is able to ascend to the Crown Prince position, it would be beneficial to the Qian Clan. My clan will definitely assist them from behind the scenes.”
“Okay!”
Zhan Wushuang forced out a smile and walked together with everyone into the giant teleportation array which teleported them back to the Divine Martial Kingdom.
“Buzz!”
A light radiated while a giant teleportation array lit up in front of the Divine Martial Kingdom’s palace.
After the light faded, Jiang Yi and the others opened their eyes and were shocked by what they saw. There were many individuals standing in front of the palace’s plaza, amounting to more than a thousand. In the middle of the group was a dashing youth wearing an official’s robe that immediately laughed when everyone walked out from the teleportation array. “We welcome our brave warriors back to the kingdom! Jiang Yi, receive the decree!”
