Chapter 243

Commanding Wind and Cloud

Chapter 243: Red Flower and Green Leaves

Isabella gazed at Qian Jin in great surprise for seconds and then nodded her head lightly, “I didn’t know that you were asking a leave for this reason. Okay.”

“Dear president, I also want to ask for a leave.” Duren Burg squinted his eyes as he looked at Isabella, “After all, my schedule hasn’t been completed.”.

After seeing Fanta Kunge and Cech Flet, who kept silent but the intent of asking for a leave can be seen from their eyes, Isabella uttered a sigh. “What a strange crowd of young people they were! They tried hard to be enrolled into Punitive Expedition Academy but took turns to ask for a leave because of Qian Jin. It would be explicable if they were Qian Jin’s servants, however, given their relationships, they seemed to be equal. No hierarchical relationships could be sensed from their interactions.” She thought.

“Principal…”

Isabella’s squinted eyes were suddenly opened wide, and her nerves which had just been softened were stimulated again. She looked at Gabriella in surprise; she didn’t really care whether the Hydra Bloodline Warrior or the descendant of Fanta Family asked for a leave, but Gabriella…

As she had been eagerly waiting for Gabriella’s showing up, Isabella was really afraid that Gabriella would leave the academy. “What if she was convinced by other academies on her trip.” She thought. To whom could she ask for the loss by then?

“The Emperor of the Zence Empire?” Isabella forced out a bitter smile. Although their Emperor was a wise ruler, it was not proper for him to judge such issues. After all, all academies were cultivating talents for Humanity.

“Gabriella…” Isabella hurriedly and grabbed onto Gabriella’s hands and said with a nervous look, “I’m really happy to have you come to our Punitive Expedition Academy. I have pledged to answer every demand put forward by you. However, you have just come here…if you instantly ask for a leave…I will feel reluctant.” Isabella said.

It could be seen from Gabriella’s lowered head as well as the mage hat that covered her breathtakingly pretty face that she really wanted to ask for a leave as well.

Before Isabella opened her mouth to persuade Gabriella into staying here, she found that Duren Burg and the other warriors were locking their eyes on Qian Jin.

“So?” A big question mark flashed by Isabella’s mind. “So is Qian Jin the one who could convince Gabriella from asking for leave? Could this be true? The unprecedentedly whimsical Supreme Mage would follow Qian Jin’s suggestions? Alas! Take the bet!” Isabella thought.

“Qian Jin…” Isabella said with a half-begging and half-trouble look. For this moment being, none of the previous impertinent temperament could be traced from her. She looked just like a lovely kitten, “Please help me persuade Gabriella…” she asked.

The same face was capable of displaying two totally different expressions and temperament. Qian Jin couldn’t help but admired this female Principal who behaved more like a Demon girl than Demon girls themselves! Under her gaze, some of the ordinary men might even be willing to follow her order of committing suicide.

Qian Jin looked at Gabriella who was standing by his side, realizing that none of them could instruct her in practicing magic. Besides, their resources couldn’t be compared to those of Punitive Expedition Academy’s. Leaving the academy would do no good to Gabriella’s future development at all.

“Gabriella, you’d better stay on campus.” Qian Jin said in a tentative and low voice, “If you feel that it doesn’t help you much, you can turn to Uncle Marc and ask him to send the Torrent Ten Warriors with you to chase after us.”

Gabriella kept motionless for a short while with her head lowered, and then she slowly nodded. Isabella felt like the big stone stuck in her throat was removed. She then peeked at Qian Jin causally.

“Principal, if there isn’t anything else that we need to do…” Qian Jin turned back at the door of the Principal’s office, “We shall leave now.” He said

Isabella nodded her head while propping her chin with two hands and gazed at Qian Jin’s back, recalling the fight happened between him and Heyse Kinas.

“No! The explosive power of his warrior power exceeds that of a Level 2 Demon Capturer, or else he couldn’t have beaten me back in an instant!” Isabella tapped the desk with her fingers continuously, producing drumming sounds, “Besides, his fighting technique seemed to have to split the earth. My Rosegold Butterfly Palm is a type of advanced fighting technique which shouldn’t have been smashed by him that effortlessly…is this to say his fighting technique…” She pondered.

Isabella gradually squinted at the direction that Qian Jin left in, “More advanced fighting technique? What’s more! He has the ability to influence Gabriella. Although he behaved like a barbarian just now, he still has hidden a lot from me. It’s so interesting that I have to fully research him.”

“Research?” Walking down the path of the academy, Qian Jin was thinking about the courses mentioned by Isabella. As his first substantial contact with an advanced warrior academy, he didn’t know what kind of courses the school would arrange for him.

Qian Jin looked at Cech Flet who was walking quietly by his side and uttered a smile. This half-blooded descendant of the Demons might not be able to settle his puzzlement. Duren Burg might know the answer; however, this bloodline warrior was away on his trip to check out the lessons offered to other bloodline warriors in the hope of finding a lesson schedule suitable for himself.

“Perhaps Fanta Kunge knew the answer to this question!” He thought. But then Qian Jin shook his head as he felt a little hopeless! The two warrior comrades who might be able to give him an answer were all away searching for the most suitable lesson schedule and instructors and would not come back to Torrent Battle Fort until the evening before they head to Qian Region.

Qian Region! Qian Jin looked up to the sky, lamenting on the grandeur of the Zence Empire as it named an entire region by the family name of Qian without any concern for its taking on rebellions. The spirit and scope of an emperor were really amazing!

“Pick up my father! Pick him up!” Qian Jin firmly clenched his fists as he thought. The sole purpose of all those years’ schooling and practice was picking his father up, and this day was about to come! His father didn’t need to suffer in a servant-like life with all those indifferent relatives in the Qian Family.

And Luna…Qian Jin chuckled, as the enchanting figure amidst the moonlight on the street flashed in his mind again and seemed to be brought to life, making him feel warm and rejoiced.

“You.” Cech Flet gazed at Qian Jin’s eyes and said, “Are thinking about a woman.”

“What?” Qian Jin was shocked. Generally, this Demon Warrior of Fallen Angel Bloodline was as silent as an oyster, but once he opened his mouth, he would catch others speechless by his sharp observations

“I’m right.” A confident smile rippled on Cech Flet’s poker face.

“Look here! He’s so handsome!”

“Yeah, he is! He is really handsome!”

“His smile adds to his charms. I’m falling for him!”

Several young and beautiful female mages coming from the other side of the street were talking about Cech Flet in a loud voice and with irrepressible excitement. They seemed to have ignored Qian Jin as all their attention had been drawn to Cech Flet.

“Alas!” Qian Jin sighed to himself. He used to hope that this Fallen Angel Bloodline Demon Warrior could behave low-key on the campus, but now it turned out to be impossible as his handsome face was able to drive men to commit suicide and women to feel self-abased.

“Hello there.”

A tall and thin female mage in scarlet mage robe stood in front of Cech Flet’s way. She stuck out her chest, protruding her towering bosom against the loose robe, “Can we come friends? My name is Vivistine, grade two student in the Mage Branch.”

Qian Jin rubbed his forehead softly, feeling a little frustrated by being totally ignored by the opposite gender when walking shoulder by shoulder with another man, despite the fact that he had a fiancée.

Even if he was clear that Cech Felt was extremely handsome, when he really run into such a situation…Qian Jin felt obscurely hopeless. It was said in the books that the red flowers needed to be accompanied by the green leaves and that sometimes a beauty would find an ordinary-looking girl as her friend to manifest and emphasize her prettiness. However, Qian Jin himself couldn’t even be compared to a green leave; at least a green leave was set to emphasize the red flowers, but he was totally ignored by others!

Qian Jin felt somewhat powerless and hopeless as he kept looking at Cech Flet. This half-blooded descendant of the Demons wasn’t easy to deal with. He fended off the chase of the Dark Group when they were in the Demons’ territory. And after arriving in the Zence Empire, he caught and killed the gatekeeping general of Oakland city when he knew for sure that such a deed was illegal and dangerous.

Maybe it was known only to the Gods what Cech Flet would do to if those girls who tried to strike up a conversation. Maybe he would feel uncomfortable and take them by the throat…

“Cech Flet.”

A cold yet elegant tone was used by Cech Flet. Accompanied by his naturally gentleman-like behavior which amused the female mage Vivistine and two of her friends standing by her side, the three girls stood there motionlessly as if they got cast on a stonification spell by someone.

Qian Jin blinked his eyes and swung his head. Cech Flet’s move accompanied by the handsome appearance could not only catch the women breathless but also catch men off-guard as well.

“Unbelievable, really unbelievable!” Qian Jin thought. As expected from Cech Flet’s cold character, Qian Jin had imagined all kinds of possibilities, including taking them by the throat, pushing them away violently, and paying no attention to their flirting and moving on nonchalantly.

He replied, in a courteous way! The gentility exuded from his moves could be compared to the royal princes’ in traveling poets’ stories.

“It’s my first day her.” Cech Flet looked around with his accustomed poker face. Although there wasn’t a smile on his face, the gentility and good-looking face produced a dazzling light against the background.
