Luckily, Hu Ruixue had been helping Shu Yan out on issues with the chapel and the dining and that was a big part of it.

Then there was transportation. Shu Yan didn’t know how many would come from her hometown, so she contemplated renting a bus.

“Why don’t we figure out how many will be coming first? Did you want to invite anyone outside of your immediate family?” Feng Zeyu pulled out the invitation and got ready to start on them.

Shu Yan counted with her fingers. “For certain my parents and my grandparents. I don’t know about my three brothers. Definitely Third Brother. We should invite my cousins from my father’s side. They can decide if they want to come or not. Two of my father’s older brothers, my mother’s two sisters, my father’s two sisters. We will skip my cousins from my mother’s side. I never have any relationships with them. Inviting them out of the blue will make them think that I am fishing for red envelopes from them.”

She didn’t need to invite any of them but, not inviting them to her wedding would be like severing all ties with them.

They already did not see each other a lot, that and they hadn’t been that nice to the original owner in the past either.

One would think that it would matter but there was a voice inside Shu Yan that wanted to invite them to the wedding.

While Feng Zeyu was writing out the invitations, Shu Yan put her hand over her chest. She was quite sure that the original owner was gone. As such, why did she still have such a strong feeling?

Shu Yan tossed and turned for half a night and finally had it figured out a little.

She figured that the original owner had been bullied too much by her family and she wanted to show her parents.

She wanted her relatives to praise her. Perhaps that thought was hidden in the deepest part of her mind that she wasn’t even aware of, and it was just now surfacing.

Shu Yan debated whether she should listen to her heart. Her agreement with the original owner was just to take care of her parents for her and that she would treat her two children as though they were her own.

This was not part of the deal. Besides, the original owner was long gone and that all she needed to do was to suppress the urge and then that would be that.

After some thought, however, Shu Yan decided to go along with it. She would already be inviting the original owner’s parents, what’s a few more relatives?

Feng Zeyu finished writing out the invitations and Shu Yan packaged them all up and sent them to Shu Jianyang to help with the distribution.

“Third Brother, please help me confirm the head counts so I can make arrangements on my side.” Shu Yan needed to know the actual number of headcounts.

“Sure. No problem. I’ll get that done.”

Shu Jianyang knew that Shu Yan and Feng Zeyu would be getting married, but he didn’t think it would happen so soon.

His first reaction was the same as Hu Ruixue’s –– he wondered whether Shu Yan was pregnant. He was, after all, a man and it wouldn’t be right for him to ask. He figured he would have Miaomiao bring that up at a later time.

When the package arrived, there was a big bag of children’s clothes in addition to the invitations. They were for the child inside Li Miaomiao’s belly.

“Yanyan is so nice,” said Li Miaomiao with a smile. “They are going to have a wedding by the ocean? That’s so romantic.” They figured that it was Shu Yan’s second marriage, so most likely it would just be a simple banquet. They didn’t think that the wedding would be at the beach and very formal.

“Yanyan said it is very scenic over there. We should spend a few extra days when we go.” He had been too busy last year, and they had yet to go and have some fun since they had gotten married.

“Okay!” Li Miaomiao smiled a happy smile.

Her own wedding was considered very grand in City Xi. Mainly because Shu Jianyang was nice to her. As such, she didn’t need to be envious of others.

They had some free time the next couple of days, so Shu Jianyang made a trip home with Li Miaomiao to distribute the invitations.

Old Mr. Shu was quite happy to find out about the wedding and had his grandson go and fetch Shu Youfu.

She was, after all, his daughter. Shu Yan was not who she used to be, so they couldn’t just take it lightly. They needed to have a plan.
