Chapter 460 – Light Golden Flying Pig

The pigs had light black skin, red eyes and breathed heavily through their nostrils as if they were extremely impatient and irritated.
Their two slightly curved tusks extended for over two meters, like two spears, making the Digging Pigs appear all the more ferocious.
After some analysis, Wei Xiao Bei decided on a battlefield five kilometers to the north.
Thirty Flame Giants were fighting against two Giant Pythons, ten Giant Wolves and a light golden flying pig there.
One had to admit that two Giant Pythons and ten Giant Wolves had no chance against thirty Flame Giants.
However, when the flying pig joined the battle, the precarious fight instantly turned around. The Flame Giants were even beginning to be beaten back.
There weren’t very many monsters on the battlefield.
More importantly, the trees here were few and sparse, to begin with. Now that the remaining trees had all been felled by the battle between the two parties, it was the perfect conditions for the Digging Pigs to charge forward!
Set off!
Wei Xiao Bei led the charge at the very front, while the sixty-five Digging Pigs followed closely behind. When the massive pigs sprinted together in a horde, it thundered like an army of cavalry. Even the roots on the ground started to tremble slightly.
Once they approached the battlefield, Wei Xiao Bei jumped onto the back of a Digging Pig and hid under its thick hair as the horde continued charging toward the battlefield.
There was no doubt that none of the Flame Giants, Giant Wolves or Giant Pythons engaged in the intense battle were responding to the appearance of these Digging Pigs.
After all, any sort of distraction in such a dangerous battle could result in their deaths.
Only the light golden flying pig beat its wings and glared at these uninvited guests as it hovered in the air.
Wei Xiao Bei felt his heart skip a beat when the flying pig glared at them. He felt a faint sense of danger.
Of course, such danger wasn’t sufficient to threaten his life yet.
Rather, the Life Altar hid in Wei Xiao Bei’s left arm suddenly sent out an intense hint of desire.
Its target was that light golden flying pig.
This desire that it was conveying exceeded even its desire for the Ash Essence.
There was no doubt that there was probably something incredibly valuable inside this flying golden pig. Otherwise, the Life Altar wouldn’t be so agitated and excited.
Of course, Wei Xiao Bei had no intention to strike out at the flying pig yet. It couldn’t be helped. Judging from what he had seen, the flying pig was simply too fast. It was nearly twice as fast as the Scarlet Pheasant, making it almost as fast as a supersonic fighting jet.
Wei Xiao Bei couldn’t deal with this flying pig with his current speed. His only chance of taking it down was for it to actively attack him.
That was why Wei Xiao Bei chose to focus more of his attention on the Digging Pigs, who were about to launch their charge.
Charge!
The instant they stepped onto the edge of the battlefield, the speed of all the Digging Pigs abruptly spiked. They charged toward the Flame Giants.
Then, upon reaching within twenty meters of the closest Flame Giant, they struck. [Explosive Charge] activated!
After two instances of acceleration, the speed of the Digging Pigs reached a level where their silhouettes could not be registered by the naked eye.
Beng, beng, beng, beng!
A series of sounds rang throughout the battlefield.
These ten-meter tall Flame Giants were instantly knocked onto their feet by the charge of the Digging Pigs and the battle was thrown into chaos.
These Digging Pigs might not be as tall as the Flame Giants, but they had their advantage. Their muscular, seven-meter long bodies, their accelerating speed, and their spear-like tusks made them lethal weapons. Anyone that was hit by their charge would have their guts sliced open and their limbs broke from the sheer impact.
There were even ten Flame Giants that were instantly blown away by the Digging Pigs.
By the time the Digging Pigs had charged across, twenty wounded Flame Giants lay on the ground behind them.
Though the Flame Giants did not die on the spot due to their powerful regenerative capabilities, there was no doubt that their combat prowess had been greatly weakened.
Of course, the Digging Pigs didn’t come out unscathed either. Sixteen of the Digging Pigs had been punched several times on the back by the berserk Flame Giants and had died on the spot. Many of the surviving pigs were also covered in burn marks from the flames.
In all honesty, being able to accomplish this much was already an excellent achievement.
After all, the Digging Pigs were only Two-Star Elites. If they weren’t charging in a stampede and caught the Flame Giants by surprise, their losses would be more severe.
“Turn and charge again! ”
Wei Xiao Bei had already jumped off of the Digging Pig. After giving this order to the surviving Digging Pigs, he leaped forward and stabbed out with his spear, immediately killing a Flame Giant that was trying to get up on its feet!
His sudden burst naturally attracted the attention of some Flame Giants. However, the Digging Pigs that turned around and charged again immediately drew the attention of those Flame Giants away.
Wei Xiao Bei took advantage of this rare opportunity to thrust with his spear, killing several wounded Flame Giants that could not react in time. At the same time, he continued to place the corpses of the Digging Pigs and the Flame Giants in his storage bracelets.
However, the remaining Flame Giants quickly turned their attention to Wei Xiao Bei, their clusters of flames shooting toward him like a rain of fire.
Wei Xiao Bei was having a pleasant time slaughtering the Giants. He swatted away the fireballs when there were only a few of them and dodged if they got too numerous.
However, as a Flame Giant used [Blood Rupture], a massive firestorm spread outward and Wei Xiao Bei had no choice but to turn and run.
It couldn’t be helped.
There were simply too many Flame Giants here. If a few of them were to use [Blood Rupture] at the same time, Wei Xiao Bei’s ability to fight would be affected, even if he didn’t die on the spot. With the flying pig looking on cautiously from the sidelines, he didn’t dare to fight too recklessly. Otherwise, there might just be a chance he loses his life.
Wei Xiao Bei turned to flee and the Digging Pigs followed after him, leaving the battlefield in a chaotic mess.
As many as four Flame Giants had died at Wei Xiao Bei’s hand during this charge. Apart from the 4000 evolution points, he had also managed to retrieve a bunch of corpses.
That said, he had only managed to retrieve ten of the Digging Pigs’ corpses.
Of course, this wasn’t a massive loss. After all, he could extract far more flesh from the corpses of the four Flame Giants.
After a wild sprint, once he was quite some distance away from the battlefield, Wei Xiao Bei discovered a problem. The flying golden pig was following right behind him. Upon seeing his gaze directed at it, the pig increased its altitude to two hundred meters above the ground.
This made all of Wei Xiao Bei’s plans to attack it fall flat.
Through the Weakling Pigs hiding near the battlefield, Wei Xiao Bei could see what was happening on the battlefield after the flying pig had left. The two parties had broken out into a fight again. Naturally, without the aid of the pig, the Giant Wolves and Giant Pythons were slowly losing the fight.
It was fortunate that Wei Xiao Bei had assaulted the Flame Giants with the Digging Pigs earlier and caused fairly large casualties to the creatures. The giants were momentarily still distracted by the thought of another possible ambush, leaving the Giant Wolves and Pythons barely able to fend for themselves.
There was still forty-nine Digging Pigs left.
Wei Xiao Bei released the Flame Giant corpses from his storage bracelet. Ignoring the flying pig glaring from above, he collected the heart blood from the corpses, before taking out his spear and extracting their strength.
Once the spear was done absorbing the energy from the corpses, Wei Xiao Bei extended his left hand. A cluster of flesh threads shot forward, enveloping the Flame Giant corpse in an instant and starting to extract its flesh.
Something unexpected happened.
While Wei Xiao Bei was extracting the Flame Giant’s flesh, the flying pig watching on from the sky suddenly became agitated. It let out a heavy breath of air from its nostrils and charged down at Wei Xiao Bei in a flash of golden light.
Wei Xiao Bei might not have been bothered by the pig, but he was not completely unguarded. At least one Weakling Pig had been hastily recalled and ordered to hide on the flying pig while it was distracted.
However, before this could happen, the flying pig charged at him. Unfortunately, despite knowing of the attack the instant it happened, Wei Xiao Bei had absolutely no time to react due to the pig’s speed!
He could only watch as the flash of golden light appeared before him! He didn’t even have time to grab his spear!
If the flying pig was to run into him at this speed, it would be a terrible blow to him.
Frankly speaking, it would be as if a gigantic bullet shot out of a gun had hit him.
There was only one thing that Wei Xiao Bei could do in his position! Electricity Discharge!
Only this special skill could be unleashed regardless of his reaction speed!
A cluster of plasma instantly burst forth of Wei Xiao Bei’s body and engulfed him.
The flying pig couldn’t even decelerate now, even if it wanted to.
Boom!
A dull thud rang out and Wei Xiao Bei was blown away, his entire body flickering with blue light. Meanwhile, the flying pig had been electrocuted the instant it came into contact with the plasma!
Mutual defeat?
Wei Xiao Bei felt his left chest and arm ache, before losing all sensation in those two parts. His entire person spun and crashed into the ground.
Just like a top that had been hit with a whip.
Wei Xiao Bei’s spinning body crashed and formed a massive crater in the ground. He finally stopped moving after rolling over a few dozen times.
Flames started rising from the crater.
Wei Xiao Bei’s constant friction against the roots had lit them on fire, while his own body was a mess of scorch marks and bloody flesh.
