Chapter 13

Reborn Spoiled Ming Wangfei

Chapter 13

Lan You Nian took breaks very often before finally arriving at the nearest town outside the Medical Valley-the Sunset City.

On both sides of the street, there were many shops.  The dusky afterglow of the sunset lightly sprinkled on the red brick, green tiles or on top the brightly colored pavilion cornices, adding a bit of haziness and poetic quality to the prosperous Sunset City.

This was the first time Lan You Nian saw the face of this ancient world.  It seemed to be somewhat like the architecture of ancient China, but the difference is that in this world there actually exists qinggong, inner force, such things that were only seen in martial arts novels.

Lan You Nian needed to establish her own power.  Since she Lan You Nian currently possesses the new ideologies from the 21st century, then she could start from business and hold the economic lifeline in order to control her own destiny.  No matter where it was, money was an indispensable must.

What she needed most now was her own subordinates, but this couldn’t be rushed.  Fortunately, she was only ten years old.  Many things could be taken slowly.

“Beat him”

“Break his legs”

“Beat this b.a.s.t.a.r.d to death”

At the moment Lan You Nian pa.s.sed by a small alley, she heard the sounds of beating and verbal abuse from inside.  Leaping onto the wall of the alley, Lan You Nian observed the scene happening on the ground.

They were all children, at least in Lan You Nian’s eyes, they were still children.  Several 14-15-year-old, robust boys were kicking an only twelve-year-old boy who had fallen to the ground.  Lan You Nian observed while listening to these children’s verbal insults.

Lan You Nian even noticed when every time those children cursed the boy on the ground a “b.a.s.t.a.r.d”, the boy on the ground would reveal a fierce wolf-like expression in his eyes.  The hatred in his eyes was very agreeable to Lan You Nian.  She liked people who refuse to admit defeat and were stubborn.

In the process of being beaten, although the boy tried to fight back and escape many times, but to no avail.  But even so, the boy did not seem to give up planning an escape.

The courage of the few boys were getting bigger and bigger, one boy picked up a brick from the ground to smash it towards the head of the boy on the ground.  Even if he did not die from this blow, it will still remove half a life.

The boy on the ground did not even close his eyes, just looked at his bullies with wide eyes, but the despair that flashed within those eyes did not escape Lan You Nian’s notice.

The moment the brick in the boy’s hand was going to smash down, Lan You Nian extended a length of white silk to hinder the boy’s movements.

“Scram!” an ice-cold voice sounded as Lan You Nian stood in front of the boy and reprimanded the several other boys.

At first, the several boys were startled by Lan You Nian’s skill, but on closer inspection, seeing it was only a girl who was much smaller than them, their courage grew even more.  They reached out to hit Lan You Nian.  Lan You Nian did not even look at those boys, turned around and looked towards the boy on the ground.

“Watch out!” The boy on the ground looked behind Lan You Nian and screamed.  But what made him even more frightened was that the boys fell to the ground before they could even touch Lan You Nian.

“What is your name?” Lan You Nian asked the boy on the ground.

This boy was very thin, looked frail and weak, and the contours of his face was not very symmetrical, but quite handsome, even has an eagle-hook nose.  Dark brown hair grew very low, covering most of the forehead.  A pair of big, dark eyes looked very lovable, but when it was angry, it flashed with the most ferocious hateful expression, showing its fierceness.

“I don’t have a name” the boy’s mood seemed very low when speaking about his lack of a name.

“Will you come with me?” Lan You Nian extended her very small but white as white-jade hand.

The boy looked at the hand stretched out in front of his eyes, seemed to see the future, but glanced at his dark, dirty hands and lowered his head.  Lan You Nian did not press.  The boy wiped his hand on his own dirty clothes, then placed his hand in Lan You Nian’s hand, his expression firm, said “Alright!”

“From now on, you will have my last name, your name is Lan Ren” Lan You Nian’s voice sounded.  She needed a blade, a blade that could break open a way through any obstacle.

“Lan Ren greets young miss,” Lan Ren’s hand was still in Lan You Nian’s hand as he knelt on the ground and respectfully said.  This girl is his redemption, his master.  He will no longer be the “b.a.s.t.a.r.d” everyone hates.  He had his own name.  He was called Lan Ren.
