Chapter 1307 - Merged Flames

Fury Towards The Burning Heaven

Chapter 1307: Merged Flames

The time limit for completing the mission was one Higher-Domain day; that was a hundred Lower-Domain days. The journey to that Black Market Castle to the north would only take a few Lower-Domain days; Jiang Yi had plenty of time. He hurriedly went back to his own pavilion, closed the gate, activated the restrictions, and immediately went into seclusion.

As Jiang Yi cultivated his heavenly powers, he activated the two Chaos Beast Cores to collect more of the two types of burning flames. This time, he did not try to realize the nomological mystical abilities inside the Chaos Beast Cores but attempted to realize the Fire-Cultivating Dao in the book he had purchased instead. Jiang Yi wanted to use these few days to grasp this mystical ability so that he could then merge the two types of flames together at will and head out to complete the mission.

Unfortunately, Jiang Yi had belittled the depth and complexity of the Fire-Cultivating Dao; he only managed to reach the Entry Stage after ten full days. This was also only possible because he had realized the Heaven-Extinguishing Inferno for several years and had a certain foundation with regard to cultivating flames. If not, he would probably not even have reached the Entry Stage at this moment.

Everything after the Entry Stage was smooth-sailing. Thirteen days later, Jiang Yi opened his eyes and decided to start cultivating the flames.

Jiang Yi took a look at his Fire Spirit Pearl and realized that there were several hundred balls of each type of burning flames. His Fire Spirit Pearl lit up as a few balls of dark-red burning flames appeared. However, he soon realized a problem. The restrictions in this room were too weak. If he cultivated the flames for a long time here, the restrictions on this room would probably be destroyed; and the entire pavilion would be burned into nothing as well.

“To the Demon-Killing Pavilion!”

Jiang Yi remembered that the Demon-Killing Pavilion had Technique Practicing Rooms. The restrictions in them were extremely formidable; even a Demon-Killing Battle King’s attacks would not be able to destroy them. However, entry to this room required battle merits. At this moment, Jiang Yi could not think about so much as he rose and headed towards the Demon-Killing Pavilion.

After entering the Demon-Killing Pavilion, the second corridor to the right led Jiang Yi to the Technique Practicing Hall. There were more than a hundred secret cultivation rooms in it, all for Demon-Killing Pavilion members to use and cultivate. Jiang Yi chose the smallest and set a time limit of twenty hours; that used up almost a hundred battle merits.

Buzz!

The Technique Practicing Room’s restrictions were activated, and Jiang Yi released one ball of burning flames. The restrictions lit up slightly but as expected, they held fine. Jiang Yi separately released another two balls of burning flames and then used his Fire-Cultivating Dao to absorb the flames. They became special balls of energy and entered his body. While Jiang Yi knew similar Fire-Cultivating Daos before this, this particular one was more profound. The two types of burning flames became two different types of energy once they entered his body, heading straight for his divine core.

For the Fire-Cultivating Dao, the place to cultivate flames was within the divine core.

After merging the two types of flames within the divine core and releasing them again, their power would at least be doubled. However, the flames could not be stored within the divine core; they can only be cultivated immediately on the spot and released. Hence, practitioners of Fire-elemental nomological mystical abilities could not only cultivate flames but release different types of flames as well.

The two different types of flames enter Jiang Yi’s body as balls of energy and coursed through his body to enter his dantian and finally his divine core. Jiang Yi controlled the two types of energy, brought them near each other, and quickly spun them around in a circular motion, like the Taiji Eight Trigrams. At the same time, he injected some of his heavenly powers to enter each of the balls of flames to try and combine the two energies. This was the way to merge two different types of burning flames.

The two balls of fire energies quickly revolved faster and faster while Jiang Yi kept on injecting some heavenly powers into them. However, Jiang Yi was exasperated when after one full hour, the two balls of energy still refused to merge. While they were revolving, it seemed as if they were almost joined together. However, once the revolution stopped, they would separate once again. Also, it seemed as if each type of flames was resistant to the other; it was like fire and water.

“Could it be this Fire-Cultivating Dao has some problems? Have I been cheated?”

Jiang Yi opened his eyes. He had followed exactly what was written in the book. However, even after one hour, the two balls of flames had still not merged; this was bad, right? If he encountered enemies and tried to cultivate the flames on the spot, wouldn’t he be courting his death?

“Could it be these two types of flames are resistant to each other because one is extremely cold while the other is extremely warm? That is why they cannot be merged?”

Jiang Yi scratched his head and thought about the time when he had killed the two Chaos Beasts and started to hesitate again. If he could not merge the flames, he would have lost big time. There was definitely some good stuff in that interspatial ring; if not, the elder would not have immediately agreed to the exchange.

“Let me try again!”

Jiang Yi closed his eyes and attempted again. However, after another hour, it was still futile. If it wasn’t a problem with the Fire-Cultivating Dao, then it may be a problem with the two types of burning flames.

“I’m not going to try anymore!”

Jiang Yi was slightly annoyed as he controlled the two balls of fire energy and brought them out from his divine core, preparing to return them to his Fire Spirit Pearl. He casually controlled them without paying much attention. Just at this moment, the ninth star sphere that was revolving about his divine core flew close to the two balls of energy; and when Jiang Yi wasn’t paying attention, it actually absorbed the two balls of energy.

“Eh?”

Jiang Yi looked into his soul spirit and shivered. He had realized something strange: the two balls of energy entered his ninth star sphere and transformed into two special types of energy, one blue and one red. Also, the two types of energy were merging as he looked.

“What’s going on?”

Jiang Yi had used his Fire-Cultivating Dao for more than two hours and tried everything to no avail. However, the flames had automatically merged once they entered his ninth star sphere? Jiang Yi thought that he had seen wrongly and observed for a long time. He waited for the two balls of energy to completely merge before he opened his eyes, dazed.

“This is insane. The ninth star sphere did not fuse with my divine core, but it actually still has its use? En… the ninth star sphere has always been strange. It can absorb astral winds as well. This should probably be related to the Nameless Divine Art.”

The mysterious elder’s remnant soul had gone into slumber; Jiang Yi could not understand this but could not get an answer at the moment either. He could only suppress his curiosity as he controlled that blue-red energy out from his body and finally into his palm.

Hoo-hoo!

The two balls of flames had indeed fused and become a blue-red flame. When this flame appeared, the restrictions of the room also started to flicker incessantly. The air in the room also started to rise as the temperature was elevated to a frightening level. However, as Jiang Yi’s body was immune to fire, he did not even know how hot the burning flames were.

“Alright!”

Jiang Yi became energized as he slammed this ball of flame into the wall, wanting to try out its attacking strength against the restrictions of this room. However, once the burning flames touched the restrictions, the restrictions actually lit up brightly; and a horrifying aura spread forth. The entire room was as bright as snow; Jiang Yi could not even open his eyes.

“Damn, the power of these flames is so strong; the high-level restrictions of this Technique Practicing Room had even been activated.” Once the flames had been exhausted and when the restrictions dimmed, Jiang Yi was elated.

This was truly a mountain road filled with twists around each peak; granting a glimmer of hope at one’s darkest hour. The Fire-Cultivating Dao had been ineffective. Instead, the ninth star sphere could actually automatically merge flames together. However, if Jiang Yi had not purchased this mystical ability secret art book, he would not have known how powerful his ninth star sphere was.

Jiang Yi quickly controlled the Fire Spirit Pearl to send out balls of flames. This time, it was extremely easy to cultivate the flames. Once they became balls of energy and entered his dantian, they would automatically be absorbed by the ninth star sphere and fuse; the cultivating speed was very fast.

“This ninth star sphere is like a super Fire Spirit Pearl; I can place merged flames inside this star sphere from now on. This star sphere is limitless; even a hundred fire mountains’ worth of flames can be absorbed. It seems as if I have to go and find even more mystical types of flames in this world! If I can combine tens of types of flames, how powerful would the flames be?”

Jiang Yi did not dare to imagine. At this moment, he finally knew how powerful the Nameless Divine Art was. The mysterious elder had said that if he could gather the seven parts of the Fire Dragon Sword and its Artifact Spirit and cultivate the Nameless Divine Art to the ninth stage, Jiang Yi would have the power to deal with the Netherworld Realm.

Previously, Jiang Yi had not dared to believe. However, after seeing how special the ninth star sphere was, Jiang Yi suddenly trusted that if there were no problems with this cultivation technique, he would be able to become very strong; stronger than he would have ever imagined.
