Chapter 126: Let Me Take A Look At Your Baby

In the Visitation Hall, Lin Jin had ‘supreme authority’. By making a grabbing gesture, the contents in He Qing’s pouch flew into Lin Jin’s hand.

Upon making contact with these items, Lin Jin was thrilled.

This lass had gathered DNA samples from more than ten types of rare beasts. It was naturally helpful for Lin Jin’s accumulation task.

“There are a total of sixteen types you have provided me with. Fire away with your questions,” Lin Jin announced easily.

“I…” Despite her hesitation, He Qing decided to proceed anyway, “Mister Curator, my question is, if someone is being bound by a bestial soul curse, causing her to suffer incessantly, is there any way to break her curse?”

This question was indeed related to beasts, and Lin Jin just happened to know quite a bit about ‘curses’.

“It depends on the situation. Even bestial soul curses are divided into different levels. Simple ones can be removed with one strike, but the more complex ones will require multiple steps. Still, they can all be resolved. But you will have to bring me a blood sample of the accursed individual, otherwise, I won’t be able to determine their condition,” Lin Jin answered honestly.

He Qing nodded.

Obviously, the accursed person wasn’t her and she hadn’t brought that person’s blood sample with her. But after some thought, He Qing continued, “I’ll definitely bring her blood sample the next time I come here. But is there any way to alleviate some of her pain?”

There were many methods to alleviate the suffering caused by bestial soul curses. Lin Jin wrote down a universal method and tossed it to He Qing. She thanked him graciously before taking a step back.

Unable to contain himself, Black Crow was the next to step forward.

“I’ve been insolent to you the last time, Curator. This time, I’ve gathered enough skin, fur, and blood samples of rare beasts to present to you,” Black Crow said as he took out a large sack.

He had asked for the black falcon’s evolution method during his last visit. However, instead of answering the question, Lin Jin made a request for Black Crow to gather at least twenty DNA samples from different rare beasts to make up for his impertinence.

This time, Black Crow had brought more than twenty types.

Extending his arm, Lin Jin grabbed the samples.

“Thirty-six types!”

With this, the number of rare beasts recorded in the museum exceeded one hundred.

Lin Jin had subsequently received the corresponding reward.

The Beast Energy Formation Part Three.

He had gotten it much earlier than he expected.

This was great news, of course. According to the museum’s description of the Beast Energy Formation, part three of this cultivation technique, also known as the evolution piece, was a vital stage. Once the cultivation was complete, the pet beast could theoretically advance to the next rank.

If Xiao Huo was allowed to cultivate this part of the technique, then he could use the Beast Energy Formation to evolve into Rank 4.

Of course, it wasn’t just limited to Xiao Huo, but it also had the same effect on every other pet beast.

Feeling pleased, Lin Jin tossed toward Black Crow an evaluation report.

Black Crow’s eyes lit up and he grabbed it at once. He quickly flipped through it and almost immediately, became immersed in reading as his hands trembled in excitement.

Jiang Ziqi stepped forward, bowed, and then took out a large scale, presenting it with both hands.

Lin Jin received it and was shocked.

‘Of a progenitor lizard bloodline. A Rank 4 pet beast, not contracted. Looks like this Jiang Ziqi isn’t an ordinary man either,’ Lin Jin mused before writing down a treatment method and tossing it to the requester.

What was considered an incurable disease to others was a piece of cake to Lin Jin. He always had more than one treatment method to offer.

Seeing how the curator had written an evaluation report without any hesitance, Jiang Ziqi couldn’t help but wonder if the answer would be perfunctory. After all, Jiang Ziqi did spend an immense amount of time and effort just for the sake of rescuing the progenitor lizard.

When he scanned through the report, Jiang Ziqi was stunned.

He more or less understood some of the beast treatment theories it contained, and yet, he couldn’t at all comprehend the treatment method this curator had offered him. However, the curator’s description of the illness’s symptoms was on point, and that was alone was mystifying enough.

With just one piece of scale, as if he had seen the progenitor lizard in person, the curator was able to accurately deduce the creature’s size, appearance, and even its unique physical traits.

‘Curator is truly amazing.’

Considering how much he knew about this disease, this treatment method might just be genuine.

As they’ve been here before, the three of them were now familiar with how this place worked. Compared to these individuals, the three newcomers were confused as to what they had to do next.

The tyrannosaurus geezer from door number eight was silent, but his eyes were narrowed as he watched on as if he was plotting something in his mind.

The appearance of Madam Ghost Child from door number nine had reverted back to that of a normal young mother. It was as if the harrowing demon from mere moments ago wasn’t her at all. Madam Ghost Child was currently staring at the ‘curator’ on the second floor with curiosity in her eyes. After a while, she spoke up, “I’d like to ask how did you, Mr. Curator make my baby fall asleep? Coaxing him to sleep has always been a tremendous chore for me.”

Lin Jin had always kept his eyes on the three new visitors since the moment he entered this dimension.

He more or less was able to tell the difference between all of them.

Number eight was only average at most, but possessing a Rank 3 pet beast did somewhat make him stronger than your average person.

The most frightening among them was probably visitor number nine. Lin Jin couldn’t even tell what her pet beast was.

The ‘baby’ she was talking about, most probably was a reference to the swaddle she was carrying in her arms. However, Lin Jin could tell that shrouded underneath the cloth was no tiny tot.

“What are you holding in your arms?” Lin Jin asked.

“A baby!” the woman answered with a loving expression.

“May I see it?” Lin Jin asked again.

This so-called ‘baby’ was most probably the woman’s pet beast. But it was so tightly wrapped-up that even Lin Jin couldn’t tell what creature it was.

“I may need to trouble you to come over and look instead.” The woman flashed a smile. She seemed just like a young mother living next door, completely harmless.

As Lin Jin had absolute authority in the Visitation Hall, he wasn’t concerned about sudden attacks by his visitors. If the woman did try to pull something, she might be the one suffering instead.

Clenching his curator token tightly, Lin Jin leaped down and started approaching her.

“Be careful. This woman is a villainous expert.”

Visitor number ten, Ye Yuzhou couldn’t resist the urge to issue a warning when he saw the curator strolling toward the woman without any precaution.

Since he had battled Madam Ghost Child earlier, Ye Yuzhou knew what she was capable of.

Objectively speaking, if based purely on cultivation and spell-casting, Ye Yuzhou had confidence in his skills. But when it came to power and underhanded tricks, the woman undoubtedly had the upper hand.

In their earlier skirmish, Ye Yuzhou suffered a lot. That thing in the swaddle was definitely not a human child but some kind of unknown monster instead.

By approaching them carelessly without any precaution, one might get struck down no matter how powerful that person was.

Lin Jin turned to glance at Ye Yuzhou. The old man gave him a good impression, so Lin Jin nodded in acknowledgment before continuing forward.

Nevertheless, no visitor here could possibly give him any trouble. If they were outside, each and every one of them might very well be prominent figures in their respective circles. That tyrannosaurus geezer might even be able to suppress Lin Jin. But in this enclosed space, Lin Jin was the ‘god’ that reigned supreme.

Ye Yuzhou said no more. Based on his observation, this Visitation Hall’s owner, or the curator, was no ordinary man. An average person wouldn’t possess such magical powers to the extent that they could create an alternate space and ‘invite’ them all here.

Since the curator wasn’t too concerned, it must mean he had countermeasures ready. Ye Yuzhou would watch and see what he had up his sleeve.

Arriving in front of the woman, Lin Jin nonchalantly reached out to part the wraps that bound her infant.
