Chapter 2050 – Ancestor’s Personal Weapon
“You’re back.” Fuxi and Tailong were still standing where they’d been. They smiled to see Lu Yun walk toward them from the nothing.
“So you have indeed become a grand supreme.” Fuxi’s smile broadened. “You do not disappoint us.”
“I know everything,” Lu Yun said calmly.
“Mm, it’s just as good that you know,” Tailong chuckled. “Knowing means you can campaign through the realms with us.”
Campaign through the realms.
Lu Yun hadn’t known what that meant at first. He’d thought it meant fighting the Infinite Deorc and powerhouses of other realms. Now he knew what the words entailed.
After bringing the new Three Thousand out of Ancestor’s body and establishing it, the powerhouses within the nothing and cultivators of the Three Thousand would certainly invade the new patch of existence. Neither would heavyweights of the chief worlds offer up their hard won efforts on a silver platter either.
Everyone nursed their own personal desires, no one was an exception. Thus, when the new Three Thousand, the new existence appeared, that was when true war would break out.
“I’m going to the World Heart,” Lu Yun changed the topic.
“You should indeed go to the World Heart,” Fuxi nodded. “The tree god is a key condition to our success.”
Visiting the World Heart would help the tree god recover his strength and return him to the battle prowess of a nihil powerhouse.
“No, I want to confirm something,” Lu Yun shook his head. Nothing mattered to him anymore—he only cared about one thing. The tree god was Ashu, also known as Ling Weiyang. Ancestor was the overlord of Ice, the nihil powerhouse who’d transformed his body into this patch of existence.
So given that… what was the Tome of Life and Death?
Why had it come to him and become his nascent spirit? All things were subject to cause and effect. It wasn’t out of pure luck that this treasure had arrived in his hands.
The Han Dynasty tomb on Earth had belonged to a civilian. It wasn’t a tomb that Lu Yun was typically interested in.
But that time, he’d somehow found his way there. There’d been a layout of absolute death from the akasha ghosts inside, as well as Fuxi and Yun Yi’s plots. They sent him to the world of immortals with the Imperial Seal.
In the last loop, however, he’d seen the Tome of Life and Death instead of the Imperial Seal.
Yun Zhongzhi should’ve brought the seal out of the Tomb of the Hallowed Emperor and sent it to the Han Dynasty tomb, but the Tome of Life and Death had replaced it. That wasn’t a coincidence!
Even now, when Lu Yun stood at the apex of the chief world pyramid by virtue of ascending to grand supreme, he still didn’t know what the treasure was.
“Do you guys know what this is?” He brought out the Tome of Life and Death with a flip of his hand. All of his fortuitous opportunities and everything that was him came from this tiny bamboo scroll.
Since it was now his nascent spirit, it lived and died with him. It could never be separated from him. There was also another heaven and earth brewing inside, one superior to the chief worlds and second to only the Three Thousand.
And it continued to be perfected.
He’d even calculated that had Fuxi and the others not created the primordial world of immortals, the one inside the Tome of Life and Death would eventually emerge and enter the nothing as a patch of real existence.
It frightened him out of his wits.
Fuxi and his companions had put everything on the line to create a world to do battle with the overseer of the Three Thousand. However, there was one in his nascent spirit that was about to mature. What, was he supposed to tell them that another patch of existence would’ve naturally formed if they’d done nothing and just sat on their hands, waiting for him to grow into his strength?
What did that count for?
Had Yun Yi died in vain?
Was all of this plotting and planning and effort and blood, sweat, and tears a complete waste?
The most frightening wasn’t failure, but finding that when success was at hand, what one had striven for all this time was right there for the taking.
“This is…” Fuxi’s expression turned unpleasant when he looked at the Tome of Life and Death. Tailong swayed with shock.
Although Fuxi had entered the treasure before, he hadn’t been able to clearly determine what it was. It’d evolved after Lu Yun traveled to the Three Thousand and the world inside was more complete than before.
Being skilled in the Dragonquake Scripture, everything within Lu Yun’s internal world was set up according to it. In other words, everything within his world flawlessly progressed to perfection and it was now displayed to Fuxi and Tailong.
Fuxi swallowed hard and he began to tremble.
“No,” Tailong firmly closed his eyes and shook his head. “My efforts have not been in vain. From dao came one, and one begat two, two gave birth to three, and from three resulted all living things!”
His gaze was resolute when he reopened them. “The primordial world of immortals is ready to rush out of Ancestor’s body and enter the nothingness to become a real existence. Don’t forget what our original goal was. We didn’t just want to forge a perfect existence, but to traverse the unbounded nothing with order!”
His hair turned white as his voice grew louder and his form began to age, turning into someone Lu Yun was familiar with.

“Manifesting a new existence to replace the Three Thousand is just the first step. I’d thought that our successors would have to complete the rest of the tasks, but it turns out all of it was right in front of us!”
“You…” Lu Yun gasped to see Tailong’s current appearance. “Daoist Grand!”
Daoist Ingress’ senior brother—Daoist Grand, also known as the Grand Pure One! Never had the young man imagined that the incomparably mysterious Tailong was the Grand Pure One!
Or rather, it was the Grand Pure One’s evil self. Fuxi had borrowed the same method to create the three-eyed tribe. When they died in his place, they bore the brunt of the Dragonquake Scripture’s curse for Lu Yun.
“Indeed,” Tailong nodded. “This is not enough, you need to become a peak grand supreme and an empyrean supreme. I want to see what your perfect existence will evolve into.”
“But this also confirms that your treasure is not what we thought it was. Where did it go?” Fuxi frowned. “If it’s not that, then where has it gone?”
“What are you talking about?” Lu Yun blinked.
“Ancestor’s personal weapon,” Tailong answered. “The overseer wouldn’t have defeated him if it wasn’t for Ancestor losing his weapon. The first batch of living beings in the Three Thousand wouldn’t have been thrown out of their homes either.
“Although we are no longer tied to the Three Thousand and can enter the nihil, there is nothing there. Who wants to stay in a place like that?”
