Chapter 1826 - 1826 Leave

Miracle Pill Maker Bullies the Boss

1826 Leave

A small crack opened in the mountain gate. Two silhouettes could be seen behind it.

It was Huo Yao and Yang Yi wearing his disguise.

When Zhuo Yun saw them, he heaved a sigh of relief. “Miss Huo, Yi, you are finally out.”

If they did not come out, their boss would probably blow up everything in sight in a fit of anger for his woman.

Huo Yao nodded to Zhuo Yun and quickly walked up beside Min Yu. She grabbed his arm and said softly, “Let’s leave first.”

Min Yu glanced at Huo Yao holding her tightly without asking about anything. He simply said without the slightest warmth in his tone to Zhuo Yun, “Blow it up.”

Zhuo Yun rubbed his hands and nodded excitedly. “Yes, Boss.”

He happened to have a new compressed bomb handy. The kind that could raze buildings to the ground.

“Hang on.” Huo Yao promptly knew what he wanted to do. She stopped Zhuo Yun. “Don’t bother bombing it. They have enough trouble to handle inside for now.”

Moreover, Cool Autumn worked for Mirage Base and was still inside. She could not leave him in the lurch after accepting his help… even though she really wanted to blow up the place.

Min Yu raised his brow looking at Huo Yao. “It’s no good to show mercy to the enemy.”

“I’m a kind woman, so I can’t help it.” Huo Yao sighed.

Yang Yi felt puzzled on hearing this.

She had just poisoned lots of people inside the base. Why didn’t she think about showing mercy then?

“This will only stop them from coming out. We won’t destroy the entire mechanism,” said Min Yu.

Huo Yao did not have a problem this time. “Okay then. Do it.”

The stone gate gradually opened. People inside the base were coming after them.

They left without lingering there any longer.

Zhuo Yun felt disappointed that he could not use his compressed bomb. Before they left, he threw two more small bombs in front of the mountain entrance and pressed the detonator.

BANG!

Thunderous explosions could be heard throughout the air. The wall on the side of the stone gate got blown up. Broken stone and rubble kept pouring down blocking the gate completely.

When they got back to the small town, the car was already waiting by the roadside.

Huo Yao opened the back seat door. Just as she was about to get in, she saw someone sitting inside. She froze for a second before she raised her head to look at Min Yu.

Min Yu knew what she wanted to ask and said voluntarily, “While I was waiting for you, I saw your friend coming out.”

Oh.

Huo Yao nodded. She thanked him and bent to get into the car.

“Aunt Tong.”

Since Shangguan Tong’s arm was injured, she looked paler than usual and even her lips looked white.

She looked at Huo Yao. When she noticed her unscathed, she was finally relieved. “Yu, how did you know I was there?”

Min Yu had just gotten into the driver’s seat. When he heard the name, he stopped briefly and looked into the rearview mirror profoundly. Then, he started the engine.

As he raised his head, he happened to make eye contact with Huo Yao.

Huo Yao promptly went quiet.

Another one of her covers just got blown in her face again.

Huo Yao veered her head awkwardly. “I installed a GPS tracker on your phone.”

Shangguan Tong suddenly smiled sadly. “I should’ve known. I can’t keep anything from you.”

“Are you going to tell me the reason you had to go there?” asked Huo Yao bluntly.

Shangguan Tong said nothing and looked out of the car window.

For a moment, it was quiet in the car.

Huo Yao just knew she was not going to get an answer from her. She sighed and said, “Fine then. You can tell me when you’re ready.”

Shangguan Tong finally relaxed her hands as they sat on her knees.

Huo Yao’s phone rang.

She took out her phone. When she saw the caller ID, she paused briefly, glanced sideways at Aunt Tong, and finally answered it.
