Chapter 679

108 Maidens of Destiny

Chapter 679: 679

Hua Wanyue was stunned. She looked all around her for a while. Finally, her gaze settled on the preaching senior monk, but that senior monk’s cultivation was no more than Supercluster Stage. No matter what, he did not seem like someone who could speak of such profound wisdom.

“It is Young Lord.” Wu Xinjie giggled.

Hua Wanyue was shaken. She looked incredulously at Su Xing. “Milord?” This kind of shocked expression made Su Xing feel considerably hurt. Was it really that inconceivable for him to say such things? However, he could not blame Hua Wanyue for being astonished. In the Hero Star’s heart, her lord was perhaps a hero who loved to save the beauty, or perhaps he was someone who loved his wives too much, or perhaps he was a fickle lover. But any of these could not possibly be associated with Buddhism.

Buddhism, in Hua Wanyue’s mind, was perhaps that kind of quiet wuwei,1 a serene heart, a shaven head, sitting and meditating in a monastery, listening respectfully for the truth, comprehending all living things.

Something completely unlike Su Xing.

“I only blurted out some random things. I never imagined these monks would treat it as truth, for them to unexpectedly form a sect of Buddhism out of it. I can’t help but say that these monks have more imagination than the Azure Dragon’s cultivators.” Su Xing smiled and said.

Hua Wanyue was speechless: “So Milord really did say that.” The woman still was unable to believe Su Xing surprisingly could create a sect of Buddhism. This should only have been accomplished by Buddhas of the highest virtue and wisdom.

Su Xing nodded. He could not help but acknowledge this cruel reality.

Hua Wanyue felt that she had been toppled. “But how did Buddhism and Milord become intertwined? Could it be because of Flowery Monk?”

“Maybe, maybe not.” Su Xing thought. He then explained the events that transpired in the Buddha Kingdom. Though this was only a short explanation, Hua Wanyue seemed to have heard an imperial edict.

Hua Wanyue thought carefully. Su Xing had the Meditative Mind Lotus Flower, a type of supreme Buddhist ability. If he actually created a sect of Buddhism, this would not be very difficult to accept. But this man in front of her was so young. Those Buddhist Elders ought to have been fuming to death.

“Milord and Mahayana Buddhism. I am truly impressed. I have always had a doubt in my mind, perhaps Milord can ponder upon it?” Hua Wanyue’s eyes rolled, and she slightly smiled.

Su Xing knew that Hua Wanyue wanted to test if he had genuine ability. Of course, SU Xing felt that his own comprehension of Buddhism was entirely shoddy from the start. What happened back then in the Buddha Kingdom was pure luck. In Su Xing’s words, the monks here fully grasped the truth of Buddha. The more specious something was, the more unfathomable it became, and the easier it was to split hairs and take seriously.

“Wanyue, do you not believe that Young Lord’s dharma surpasses those Buddha Kingdom Ancestors?” Wu Xinjie’s eyes similarly turned, her lips craftily curving.

“I am only curious as to how mysterious Milord is.” Hua Wanyue smiled.

“You can test Young Lord if you so wish, however, you must nevertheless give a gesture of good faith, Wanyue. Mahayana Buddhism cannot be heard whenever one so wishes.”

Su Xing and the others did not know what Wu Xinjie was stalling for. Shi Yuan only saw that there definitely was a foxtail swishing back and forth on her Elder Sister’s rear.

Sister Wanyue, this looks like bad luck for you.

“I am one of Milord’s people. Whatever good faith Milord wants, then please do not hesitate to ask.” Hua Wanyue righteously answered.

“Then good.” Wu Xinjie winked at Su Xing. “Then if Su Xing’s dharma makes you speechless, you must attend to Young Lord tonight together alongside Xinjie and Yingmei. How about it?” Although they already foresaw this vixen was most fond of teasing Sisters on the bed, to speak so frankly still made everyone slightly embarrassed. Hua Wanyue’s cheeks blushed. Wu Xinjie always had designs on Hua Wanyue in this regard. In the Knowledge Star’s words, if she was unable to make love to Young Lord together with a Sister, then they would be obstructed in their battles to come, unable to synchronize.

Of course, Hua Wanyue felt this was sophistry purely for the pursuit of pleasure.

Hua Wanyue had declined several times. Even when Wu Xinjie brought out Lin Yingmei, she categorically refused. Seeing Wu Xinjie would not spare her, the graceful woman sighed slightly in her heart, knowing that being too unconventional was somewhat not good for herself. But upon thinking of their naked bodies on the bed, to attend to Su Xing with Wu Xinjie and the others, the woman’s elegance was somewhat resistant and not too confident.

However, this knot in her heart must be undone.

Hua Wanyue had an idea.

“Fine, I agree, but if Milord is unable to convince Me, then I ask that Elder Sister not mention matters of servicing him any further. As for servicing Milord together at the same time, I have my own plans.”

“Fine, then this is settled.” Wu Xinjie happily said.

Lin Yingmei and Wu Siyou were helpless.

“Young Lord, happiness is grasped upon your lips. Xinjie is cheering for you, make Wanyue witness Young Lord’s might.” Hua Wanyue took a deep breath and gazed at Su Xing, her cheeks crimson.

“Don’t mind what XInjie says. She’s just teasing. Attend to me or not, it really doesn’t matter, there’s no need to be forceful.” Su Xing calmly said.

However, Hua Wanyue was very shrewd. This wording was actually saying that it was still better to attend to him. She and Su Xing had the Double Sevens. How could she not understand her lord’s preposterous thinking. Hua Wanyue through carefully over the Buddhist Sutras she knew of. The Hero Star had read through a few and recalled one. She sternly said: “I have several doubts about Buddhism’s ‘Nirvana Sutra.’ Milord, would you be willing to dispel these doubts?”

“Let me hear them.” Su Xing was very curious as to what Hua Wanyue doubted.

Hua Wanyue said: “The Nirvana Sutra says that all acts are impermanent, that is the law of creation and destruction. When all creation and destruction are extinguished, that ultimate nirvana is true bliss. I have doubts about this…”

“Wanyue, what is it that you doubt?” Su Xing asked.

“Buddha said that everyone has two bodies. These are the physical body and the truth body. The physical body is indefinite, there is life and destruction. The truth body is constant, without knowledge or sensation. The scriptures say: When all creation and destruction are extinguished, that ultimate nirvana is true bliss. I do not understand which is destruction and which is bliss? If it is the physical body, then when the physical body withers and is scattered away, everything is suffering. Suffering cannot be said to be bliss. If the truth body is destroyed, then it is like grass or stone, how can it experience bliss? There is also dharma nature that is material with life and death, the skandha used by the living. One body that has five aggregates, constant life and death. Then life is born by the body to use, and destruction is used to return to the body. If it can be reborn at any time, then all living sentient beings would be unable to break their decay. If they cannot be reborn at any time, then they are forever destroyed, the same as a heartless thing. Myriad things are thus entrapped by nirvana, unable to be born, then what bliss can they have?”2 Hua Wanyue had an earnest and thoughtful expression. Wu Xinjie and the others listened dumbstruck.

She had originally though that the Hero Star probably would only have a shallow understanding of the profound mystery in a mystery of things like Buddhism. Su XIng ought to have no problem for sure. Then when Hua Wanyue threw out this question, everyone was stunned.

What physical body, truth body, wither, destruction, rebirth, constant, nirvana, and bliss. This vocabulary was individually recognizable, but when linked together by Hua Wanyue, they seemed like gibberish, indecipherable.

Wu Xinjie perspired profusely, wondering to herself what books Hua Wanyue normally read.3

Wu Siyou had some comprehension of Buddhism. Hearing her words, she showed a contemplative expression. And at this time, the other Buddhist disciples in the plaza heard Hua Wanyue’s words. To them, these terms were not difficult to understand, but like Hua Wanyue, they were full of skepticism. These men and women of all ages, nearly a thousand of them, all looked at Su Xing, awaiting this man to explain.

Seeing the dense atmosphere, Su Xing retracted his normally frivolous expression. He cleared his throat and pondered a bit. He did not have a particularly deep understanding of Buddhism, but because he had the Meditative Mind Lotus Flower that blended Buddhism and the Dao, many theories were deeply rooted in his mind. He had comprehensive master of many of Buddhism’s truths. This was also why the Meditative Mind Lotus Seed was described as “bloom to see Buddha.”

To blossom this flower, even a layman was the same level as an ancestor.

Su Xing organized his thoughts and spoke: “Wanyue, what you studied is an outer path phenomena of impermanence. If it is as you say, then outside the physical body is also the truth body, separate from life and death in search of nirvana. And on reckoning nirvana’s permanent bliss needing a body to enjoy, this is an attachment to life, attachment to the happiness of the mundane world. You should understand that Buddha believes that all things vainly attempt merge the skandha into their own characteristics, to split artificial dharma characteristics into external factors. Clinging abjectly to life, roaming about, unaware that everything is as an illusion, not at all real, only to experience endless reincarnation. To instead view blissful nirvana as hardship, to rush about all day long in search of a ksana without death, a ksana without life, there will be even less life and destruction to be found. This is the state before nirvana. When you are before nirvana, there is no sensation as such. This is called bliss. This kind of bliss need not a person to receive it, and neither does it have a person who does not receive it. How can one body have five uses? Let alone, to say that nirvana binds myriad things, to make them never born, this is a mistake.”4

A flowing deluge came from him. Su Xing truly had a Buddhist ancestor’s bearing.

Of course, as far as Wu Xinjie and the others were concerned, every word Su Xing said was recognizable, but together, the words were very unfamiliar. “I finally understand what it means to have a mouth like a deluge of flowers.” Wu Xinjie whispered directly into Lin Yingmei’s ear.

Lin Yingmei smiled. Although she thought this was obscure as well, she looked all around and saw that the several thousand Buddha Kingdom disciples were all in an epiphany, contemplating. Their enlightened expressions made Su Xing feel somewhat proud.

Even if he was cheating those Buddhist disciples into reverence, that was history.

Hua Wanyue’s understanding of Buddhism barely scratched the surface. What Su Xing said was so solemn and dignified, Hua Wanyue could not find anything to refute him on and was temporarily somewhat at a loss.

Su Xing sent a Sound Transmission to her.

“Don’t worry about, Wanyue. Like I said before, this is Buddhism. Its logic is definitely profound, something cryptic. Whatever life and death or a truth body are, they are only things that Buddhists themselves reflect upon. If you follow these thoughts, then you will natraully be unable to retort. But if you don’t pay it any heed, you can easily break free.”

“This is the lesson.”

Su Xing’s words cleared everyhing for Hua Wanyue. She gazed at Su Xing with an expresison of endless amazement.

“I believe that Milord was indeed able to bring about kill Buddha when you see Buddha, kill arhat when you see arhat. To be able to say these words, in the current Liangshan Continent, perhaps there is only you, Milord.”

“The world’s big. You can never feel that you are unmatched.” Su Xing smiled.

Hua Wanyue knowingly smiled. She felt more and more that becoming his wife was a good thing. In Buddhist terms, this was good fortune from a previous incarnation.

“Wanyue, then have you not lost?” Wu Xinjie said suggestively.

Hua Wanyue slightly nodded and turned away her gaze, her cheeks flaring crimson.

“The great way is too profound, lovemaking between a man and woman is still the simplest.”

Wu XInjie giggled.
