Chapter 1898 – A Stunning Hunt (1)
“Just the two of us?” Iry looked at Shen Yanxiao incredulously and then said, “There are at least four ghost wolves there. Are you sure?”
“Certainly.” Shen Yanxiao nodded her head.
Iry did not speak. When he saw Shen Yanxiao fighting with the Mole Beasts, he found that Shen Yanxiao was good at fighting against the undead creatures. Her fighting skills were mostly actual combat. She did not use any death energy. She was fighting using her physical skills. There were only a few undead who were even good at physical skills. Most of them relied more on death energy. Shen Yanxiao’s fighting style was something he had just seen here for the first time.
Undead creatures had a naturally high defense against death energy, so it took a lot of effort for the undead to kill them with this tactic. However, Shen Yanxiao’s attack style did not use death energy at all, and its lethality was much greater than the strategy of many average undead.
Shen Yanxiao was so confident that Iry could say nothing more. He could only take Shen Yanxiao to the place where they had found the ghost wolves.
There, the female ghost wolf was standing proudly under the tree, and three male ghost wolves were competing with each other to show their toughest side, trying to prove that they were the strongest.
“Right there…” Iry watched the four ghost wolves and swallowed his saliva secretly. The tragic image of being chased by these creatures all the way back rushed into his mind again.
“Wait here.” Shen Yanxiao simply told Iry.
Before Iry could say anything, Shen Yanxiao had already sprang forward and disappeared into the dense forest.
Iry was a little stunned. That little fellow’s speed was slightly too fast.
The three male ghost wolves were wandering around, showing their best sides to the female ghost wolf. Shen Yanxiao crouched on a big tree, squinting her eyes at the one on the far right. She carefully took out her bow and arrows and aimed at the ghost wolf.
With a swish, an arrow was shot like lightning.
Iry only saw a flash of light and shadow; the next second, the arrow was nailed into the ground three meters away from the ghost wolf at the rightmost side.
They’re finished! Yan Di had missed!
Iry’s heart suddenly jumped to his throat. He could not see where he was, but the arrow missed the ghost wolf; however one looked at it, this was the result of Yan Di’s failure.
Sure enough, this was too difficult for her.
Iry’s heart sank. Maybe they should have gone elsewhere to look for other ghost wolves from the beginning. They shouldn’t have come back here.
But before Iry finished regretting, the ghost wolf on the right made a sudden movement. Although the arrow three meters away did not hit it, the slight sound happened to pass to the ears of the ghost wolf. The ghost wolf opened its eyes and looked in the direction of the arrow. Somewhat hesitantly, it move its claws and took a few steps.
What was going on? Iry was puzzled by the reaction of the ghost wolf. But before he could figure out the cause of its action, a second arrow had flown out again.
This time, the arrow once again landed three meters away from the ghost wolf that was already more than a meter away from its original position.
Hearing another slight noise, the ghost wolf on the right was disturbed yet again. It moved its claws once more and approached the second arrow.
Iry stared his eyes wide at what was happening. Every time the ghost wolf moved forward a little, another arrow would come after the previous one, just three meters away from the ghost wolf’s position.
