418 A Hidden Dragon

Red Envelope Group of the Three Realms

Everyone was impressed by Chen Xiaobei after the battle.

Even the arrogant and experienced Jianghu elite Wu Tianhe was bowing and apologizing to him. The veteran was utterly grateful and showed utmost reverence. "Mr. Chen, thank you so much for saving my life!" He exclaimed. "You're free to hit me for offending you earlier! I'm truly sorry!"

Wu Tianhe could only watch as the old man in grey robes and his followers made short work of his own team. Chen Xiaobei, however, easily tore them apart and made the old man kneel, begging for mercy. There was no way the veteran would act like a rival anymore; in fact, he had every intent to befriend Chen Xiaobei right now.

"Mr. Chen, we're so sorry! We have embarrassed you earlier… I hope you can forgive us…" Both Bai Libin and Lin Yufei also quickly bowed and apologized to Chen Xiaobei after seeing their senior doing so.

"Alright… Don't worry about it… I'm too lazy to make you guys pay for what you guys did…" Chen Xiaobei waved them off nonchalantly.

"Thank you, Mr. Chen… Thank you…" Bai Libin and Lin Yufei look relieved.

Luo Puti was awestruck at the sight of those prideful Six Door Organization Officers who now acted so polite and humble towards Chen Xiaobei. She now realized that the youth was neither simple nor predictable, and that he still had many other surprises to offer. He was the man destined to change the world – whether it was the high heavens or the deepest abyss, there was no limits to what he could do to move them.

"Idiot. Keep growing, I look forward to the day you become stronger!" Luo Puti smiled. Though she had seen many heroes and important individuals, none of them could do what Chen Xiaobei did.

He was powerful!

He was pompous!

There was none like him!

Furthermore, there was that king-of-the-world aura he possessed, enough for him to dominate against anything in this world. In this very moment, he was her ideal.

"Honey, don't just stare. You could just scream if you think I'm handsome and cool!" Chen Xiaobei walked towards her cheekily and held her hand.

"Tut! Your face is thicker than the Great Walls of China. I'll never tell you that you're handsome, even though I think you are!" Luo Puti pouted, but let him hold her hand without struggling.

Wu Tianhe and the rest of the officers did not argue against their public display of affection; they initially believed that Luo Puti was blind for choosing Chen Xiaobei, but now things had changed. They now know that he was a hidden dragon fated to rule the heavens, and there would be none who could stand against him!

Wu Tianhe gulped. He quietly decided that he would make Wu Jiechao apologize to Chen Xiaobei when he returned to Dragon City. The Jianghu veteran was aware of the importance of building a firm relationship with men like Chen Xiaobei early on; he would have a hard time getting into his good graces after he climbed to the top. He would tell the entire Qing Wu faction to worship Chen Xiaobei like a god if it was necessary.

"I think we best stay here for the night since everyone is injured," Chen Xiaobei said. "We could leave first thing tomorrow morning …"

"Yes… Bai Libin, contact the Green Vine City police for a cleanup. Don't drag Mr. Chen into this matter at all cost, just tell them it's Six Doors Organization business!"

"Yes, sir!" Bai Libin quickly left.

They went to a hotel for some rest as planned. Among the officers, Wu Tianhe has sustained the worst injuries, although both Bai Libin and Lin Yufei weren't just scratched either. The three of them went to their separate rooms for recovery right after they checked in while Chen Xiaobei dragged Luo Puti into a room with king size bed.

"Tell me! Why are you delaying the plan?" She quickly asked as soon as they were alone. "Do you want another attack from Poseidon?! I'm sure he will assign more powerful enemies to ambush us this time!"

However, Chen Xiaobei ignore her and kept tickling her palm – a gesture that she should keep quiet. He was using his Netherspirit Battlescouter to check outside the room.

"Your plan went pretty smoothly just now," he then answered quietly. "It's time for me to draw out the enemy and destroy them all at once!"

"Draw them out? What do you mean?" Luo Puti asked with a puzzled look.

"I want Poseidon to hit us again, although this time I'll let them capture me. Then I would get to him meet him and kill him!" Chen Xiaobei said solemnly.

"What?!" Luo Puti was stunned. She never expected that he would use himself as a bait to lure Poseidon.

"I won't agree to it." She continued, shaking her head "Your plan sounds perfect, but there's too many things we have no control over. It's not as easy as you think, and you would be killed if the slightest thing goes awry!"

"Honey, I know you're worried but don't be hypocritical." Chen Xiaobei said gravely. "If you're willing to sacrifice yourself for country then why shouldn't I? Poseidon is a serious threat to our nation, and we need to risk our lives if we were to rid this toxic tumor for good! There's no telling when we could get another golden opportunity like this one…"

"But…" Luo Puti could not put her thoughts to words. She would not hesitate to let herself captured by Poseidon, but she could not stand the thought of allowing Chen Xiaobei to be taken away. It felt as if someone took away something she treasured right in front of her.

"Don't worry! Your man is not a child anymore. I've got this…" Chen Xiaobei whispered into her ear with a smile.

"I'll agree just this once," Luo Puti pouted. "But you must return safely!"

"Alright. And would I get a reward from you if I manage to return unharmed?" Chen Xiaobei's smile suddenly turned evil.

"What kind of reward do you want?" Luo Puti simply asked.

"I want you!" He grinned and pushed her down the bed.

"What are you trying to do?" Luo Puti was caught off guard; she never expected him to make a move – least of all now!

"I can't wait any longer! Let's do it!" Chen Xiaobei closed in on her lips.
