Provocative Fiery Wife: My Superior is a Affectionate Spitfire
Chapter 1566: I find you very cool like this.
“Are you serious about going overseas to look for your best friend?”
The man looked at her with his deep-set eyes. He leaned against the table in his gray Giorgio Armani suit.
“Also.” She noted how his gaze had turned sharper as he tensed up and spoke. “Bring Ping An overseas. Have you forgotten?”
She chuckled lightly. Her small face lit up like a radiant and refreshing flower, making him unable to shift his gaze away.
He leaned his body forward and hugged her waist, speaking in his low voice with a loving look. “Have you now learned to tease me?”
“I wasn’t teasing you. How would I dare to tease our CEO Ji?”
She coquettishly chuckled but avoided his gaze.
“Say it again!”
His voice was filled with kingly aura which one could not overlook as his large hands pinched her waist. As expected, Pei Ge started laughing and begging for forgiveness. “Alright, alright. I… I was wrong; I was wrong.”
He only released his grip upon hearing her surrender. With his strong arms, he then towered over her on the huge and soft bed. “Then, do you admit to teasing me?”
Her cheeks were immediately dyed red. “Ji Ziming, look at yourself now; who is the one teasing whom?”
“You know what I am talking about. Don’t change the subject.”
He took off his suit jacket with flawless movement and flung it onto the leather couch. The man then lowered his head to sniff at her neck, indulging himself in her fragrant smell. Her scent made him unable to control himself.
“Stop playing around; I am ticklish.”
“I know.”
Despite knowing that, he still refused to get up. His thin lips slowly savored her smooth skin as though enjoying a delicate morsel.
“Stop it. The children are just opposite of us.”
All she could think of was Tang Xiaoyu and the surprise her father had intended to present her mother back then. She was unresponsive to his love-making request—even her body was.
Upon seeing how she refused to cooperate with him and even tried to stop him multiple times, the man became more hardworking. Alas, Pei Ge was different from her usual self.
“Woman, are you not satisfied with me?”
He looked down at the woman below him. Her cheeks were as red as peaches which made him want to pinch them and her lips were so succulent that he could not keep his hands off them.
“I don’t want to do it today…”
Her voice got softer and softer, but he still heard it.
The man paused for a moment, then turned around, lay down beside the woman, and hugged her. “Don’t worry; I will help you. We will go abroad if that’s what you want. We can go look for your dear friend however much you want. I will also help you investigate my father-in-law’s death. Don’t give yourself so much pressure. My heart will hurt.”
He closed his eyes slightly. Even while lying in bed, he still greedily sniffed at her neck. Her refreshing scent let him calm down and slowly regain his rationality to sort out the things that had happened to her.
“It’s great that I have you.”
She flipped her body over and leaned into his embrace. His sturdy frame gave her a great sense of security and courage to face the dangers and challenges she would likely meet in the future.
“Forget it if you want to say anything related to ‘thank you.’”
The man closed his eyes and hugged her more tightly in his embrace. His low, magnetic voice was full of enticement as he spoke. “Ge Ge, can you always be by my side?”
“I will always be by your side. Forever.”
She softly mumbled before curling up in his arms like a cat. “We will not part again.”
“Good. You must remember that you are my woman, and no one can snatch you away.”
His expression made her laugh immediately. He frowned at this. “Why? What’s funny?”
“Nothing. I just find you very cool like this.”
“What?” His eyes popped open immediately. This is?
“I said that you are very cool like this!”
My taste is indeed good. Out of pure coincidence, we ended up with this beautiful fate. No matter what I face in the future, I will still feel secure because of him.
“There are so many people who praise my coolness. Have you only found out now?”
Was it a blessing or a curse to have such a slow-witted wife?
While the couple here was all lovey-dovey, Zhang Manhua was unable to fall asleep anymore.
Sitting on the sofa, she poured herself a glass of wine. The red liquid swirled inside the crystal glass. She had spent several nights like this. The moon hung high above the sky. While she was in this foreign country all alone, her only daughter was in their country.
…
‘Manhua, wait for me to come home; I have good news for you.’
A familiar voice came through the receiver.
‘What good news?’
Her eyes lit up as she was making dinner and asked with laughter, ‘I don’t need good news; I’m good as long as you don’t scare me.’
‘How can it be a scare? I am bringing you a surprise, so wait for me at home. You will find out once I’m back.’
‘What surprise is it that you can’t say it over the phone?’ Her eyes were still filled with smiles as she held the phone to her ear and continued washing the vegetables.
As long as the one she loved was happy, other things like surprises were merely embellishments.
‘You’ll know when I get home.’
The call was hurriedly hung up. She did not know that this would end up being the last phone call of her husband, and the surprise that he had mentioned would end up being so surprising. If she had a choice, she would rather not have it. She only wanted their family to live together peacefully.
“Do you know that I am missing you?”
She looked up in the night sky. The faraway moon seemed to be slightly hazy, as though people were truly living there. Were there really beings living in the Moon Palace, silently looking over the ones they loved?
…
Ji Ziming and Pei Ge lay in bed, hugging the person the other loved as though they were each other’s entire world, in this sunny afternoon.
“Do you know? I used to be exceptionally afraid of love because I saw the love between my parents. Everything was lost because of one event, and in the blink of an eye, I turned from someone with a complete family into someone with no one to depend on.”
