Chapter 2127: Blazemountain City Lord
Necropolis Immortal
Chapter 2127: Blazemountain City Lord
Lu Yun didn’t hesitate at all when destroying Snowmountain City. He burnt it to the ground in a blaze of flames and extracted its core essence of the world, infusing it into the new world of immortals.
At the same time, a hint of green developed in the new seed of nothing that he’d just obtained.
“It looks like the core essence of the world is needed for this seed to germinate and grow into a kingdom of hell…” Lu Yun’s external circulation of heaven and earth was fully operating and ensconced Qing Yu and the little fox with protection. Their cultivation level wasn’t very high—they’d barely set foot into the dao immortal realm, and that was through borrowing Lu Yun’s external circulation.
“If I’d known about this before, I would’ve given the core essence to the seed of nothing instead,” Lu Yun mumbled dejectedly.
“Don’t worry, there are so many cities in the nothing and none of them are anything good. We’ll just eliminate them one by one!” The little fox was eager to flex her muscles after gaining an understanding of the situation in reality. She never seemed to know the meaning of fear.
“The other cities should be on guard after Snowmountain was destroyed,” Lu Yun sighed. “But something else is also a high priority for us. If we ignore it, the ghost zombies will continue to endlessly pour forth and wreck the core essence of the world of immortals, even if we raze all of the cities.”
“What is it?” Qing Yu and the little fox asked in unison after looking at each other.
“A tomb,” Lu Yun murmured with a frown. “The last great personage who could affect the objective with the subjective was buried in a tomb after he died. However, his resentment lingers and his tomb has become one of inauspicious evil.
“His tomb destroyed the last patch of existence and is the source of all ghost zombies. It must be destroyed, or there will be no end to all of this.”
Lu Yun finally understood why these powerhouses would rather create cities in the nothing and establish farms of ghost zombies than rebuild the world. Someone had tried to rebuild the world before him—they’d even succeeded. But in a pivotal moment that would herald success, the tomb appeared and shattered the new reality.
That was why these heavyweights despaired and gave up to build cities in the nothing. No one was born a villain and no one wanted to remain in a city of lifelong solitude. They just couldn’t see any other way out.
No matter what, these people were all corrupted and the notion that the world could not be remade was deeply rooted in their minds. They refined worlds in the nothing and used them as bricks for cities, so that a real world would not be born.
Lu Yun gave a long exhale—these people had to be eliminated.
“Fuxi… invented feng shui and raided tombs probably because he was practicing for this final tomb, wasn’t he?” Lu Yun mused with understanding.
……
The destruction of a city of nothing naturally raised a great commotion through the nihil.
Snowmountain was one of the weaker cities and its city lord the bottom of the totem pole compared to other city lords. Thus, no one paid it any attention other than his wife, the city lord of Blazemountain. The Xue Luo that Lu Yun had killed earlier was her son with the Snowmountain city lord.
As weak as the latter was, the Blazemountain city lord was inordinately strong. She was one of the peak existences in the nihil and Snowmountain had been established only with her help. The two were dao partners before the great devastation, but their child was born after reality was destroyed.
They’d lived in Blazemountain at first, yet as their strength grew stronger, one city alone wasn’t sufficient for their cultivation. Thus, the Blazemountain city lord helped her husband build another city.
The Snowmountain city lord settled into his new home with their son. The couple would build a new city in the nothing for their son when he grew strong enough. The Blazemountain city lord had set out for Snowmountain as soon as she sensed her son die. But when she arrived, she saw only the ruins of Snowmountain.
She was a beautiful woman with flaming red hair, clad in a scarlet silk dress. She stood with fury burning in her eyes outside of Snowmountain and looked around the nothing.
“Something” came into being when the city lord arrived, creating the four cardinal directions, up, and down.
“Someone who could kill my husband without making a sound, and do so so quickly that not even a cry for help could be emitted, is no ordinary person.” The Blazemountain city lord calmed herself down with effort. Nothing met the eye as she looked everywhere.
“Whoever killed him did so to seize Snowmountain’s core essence.” A frosty glint leapt in her eyes. “Whoever you are, now that you’ve dared touch one of mine…”
Her body shook as she vanished in the void, taking “something” with her and returning nihil to a state of nothing.
Lu Yun slowly materialized after the city lord left. His appearance didn’t disturb the nothing or create the concept of “something” within it. It was like he was part of the nothing.
“That person was nearly the same level as me, she was also an immortal emperor!” Lu Yun took a deep breath, thanking the Tome of Life and Death for finally appearing. He’d used the treasure just now to conceal the world of immortals.
“No, this won’t do, I need to make more plans.” He furrowed his brows.
The Blazemountain city lord hadn’t closely inspected the perimeter because she suspected that other city lords were behind this. If she had, she would’ve discovered traces of the world of immortals.
He had to distract her before she had a chance to.
“Snowmountain, Blazemountain… There’s also Shaman Mountain, Miu Mountain, Bluemountain… They were part of the same faction before reality perished and are still allied with each other in the nothing.”
Having refined the city lord of Snowmountain, Lu Yun could work out a few situations in the nothing given the late city lord’s memories.
Blazemountain was the leader of their faction and she possessed twelve cities under her banner. All was not a picture of peace in the nothing because their cities were not really worlds. Their core essence of the world was continuously depleted and even detonated when emptied.
Thus, the city lords needed to constantly forge bricks. Some even attacked each other to seize another city’s core essence.
As weak as Snowmountain had been, no one dared march on it since the city lord was the dao partner of the Blazemountain. Everyone knew that the Blazemountain city lord would pursue things to the end if someone harmed her dao partner.
“Apart from Snowmountain, Bluemountain looks to be the weakest under her banner. Let’s take out Bluemountain first!” Lu Yun vanished in a streak of light when he made up his mind.
