Chapter 2152 - Caeli Sea

Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 2152 - Caeli Sea

The Caeli Sea was located behind the Myriadsword Mausoleum in the Infinitum Swordsea. The core of the Swordgod Lin Clan’s legacies, the Caeli Vault, lay within. That was the reason it was just as lively as the Prime Myriadsword Corporation. The young disciples of the Lin Clan either worked at the Prime Myriadsword Corporation, cultivated in the Swordsoul Purgatory, or remained in the Caeli Vault. Tianming's job had already been settled. After meeting Dongshen Yue, the two headed over to the Caeli Sea. On a mini ship, Tianming looked ahead and saw a huge vortex in the dense fog above the Infinitum Swordsea.

In the vortex, countless swords rotated at high speeds amidst the sea water. Numerous swords swirled toward the sky, causing sparks. The harsh clanging of their collisions reverberated in the air. The vortex could be said to be the most violent place in the entire Infinitum Swordsea. This was the Caeli Sea. The mini ship flew over the vortex. Up ahead, in the thick fog, were several vortexes.

"These vortexes are entrances to the Caeli Vault. The one before us is the entrance to the first level, while the fourth vortex is the entrance to the fourth level," Dongshen Yue explained.

"Got it!"

The ship had to stop there, so they landed on a nearby sword-shaped island. There were countless mini ships parked on the island. The sword-shaped astralships formed a forest of swords that appeared very magnificent. A scene like this would never have appeared in a deific-class world.

"One, two, three, four! The fourth level is over there." After exiting the ship, Tianming found the entrance to the fourth level.

"Yes, Little Fish and Xiaoxiao are now in the fifth level, and Ling'er is in the sixth." Dongshen Yue expressionlessly said, smacking Tianming on the head with her staff. "You’d better keep up! Your wife is already a grade-four disciple and you're still a grade-one disciple at your age. How absurd!"

"At my age..." Tianming sighed. The only thing he could do was bear it! "There’s so many people! They’re all descendants of the Lin Clan." As he looked out, he saw countless figures above the sword-shaped vortexes, entering and leaving the Caeli Vault. From what he could see, there were at least more than a million people, some old and some young. Those who could independently cultivate in the Caeli Vault were at least constelliers. There were few ascendants. The Infinitum Swordsea, Caeli Vault, and Clan Registry Formation were proof of the magnitude and enduring might of the Swordgod Lin Clan. That was the foundation of an Infinitum clan. They were much nobler than the mysterians, who dared to call themselves the superior race.

"Let’s go! I'll show you the way today. You can come on your own next time,” Dongshen Yue said. She had been worried that leaving Brokensword Peak might put Tianming in a difficult position, but now she realized that she didn’t have to worry about him at all. She might as well concern herself with his wives.

Tianming followed her to the entrance of the fourth level. The huge sword-shaped vortex below them resembled a giant, gaping mouth through which he seemed to see countless martyrs of the Lin Clan leaving behind their caeli, sacrificing themselves for the cultivation of the younger generation.

"It's Lin Feng...."

"Yes, he’s Lin Mu's son."

"I just heard about what happened in the Prime Myriadsword Corporation. I didn't expect to see him here so soon."

Many youths had noticed Tianming and stopped and stared at him. A day ago, they would have rejected, despised, and cursed him. But what had happened at the daisy ranking and in the Grade-nine Department were a chain of events that’d turned things around. His wives had raised his status, and the matter involving Lin Jianchen was enough to demonstrate his means, bearing, and character. Those two incidents alone had made it hard for some of the Lin Clan disciples to express their hatred for him. Of course, there were still people who resented him, but there were fewer of them.

"No one gets to choose their parents. He said at the Prime Myriadsword Corporation that he’s here to atone for his father’s sins. He didn't want to hurt his family... I don’t think he’s bad."

"At least he didn't take revenge on Lin Jianchen. His good breeding shows."

"He handled the matter well. It was originally a scandal and a farce, but it was resolved by him and didn’t affect our business. I heard the Grade-nine Department even hit peak sales afterward."

The existence of transmission stones would speed up the flow of information in any world. Tianming had just arrived in the Caeli Vault, but the others were already familiar with what’d happened at the Grade-nine Department. And Dongshen Yue was aware of it all. In fact, she was a little stunned. She’d originally believed that Tianming would live with public disdain for the rest of his life, but unexpectedly, this grandson of hers had used his own means to quell their hatred.

"Don't get cocky and work hard. The Lin Clan is enormous. It isn’t so easy to deal with a century-old grudge. Keep up the good work," she said.

"It’s nothing, Grandma." Tianming smiled.

"You’re such a braggart! Your personality is completely different from your father's," Dongshen Yue sighed. Lin Mu was an indifferent lone wolf that didn’t say much, while her grandson was a bit of a clown. She suddenly felt like a beam of light had shone through the century-long darkness.

"What’re you thinking of?" Tianming yelled in Dongshen Yue’s ear, making her tremble. "I’m going now! Bye!" he laughed as he fell into the sword-shaped vortex.

"Ahh…." Watching her grandson fall into the vortex, Dongshen Yue couldn't help but laugh as well.

......

What was it like to sink into the ocean, only to fall among the stars? Tianming had now experienced it firsthand. In the beginning, the chaotic swords and nova source sea slammed into his body so hard that he bounced from side to side. Like many disciples, he was drawn into the depths of the vortex. The swirling sea water pulled him all the way to the depths of the Infinitum Swordsea where a gate appeared, brightly shining as he was swallowed by it in an instant. When the sea water and chaotic swords disappeared, the pressure he felt was completely gone. In front of him was boundless starlight. He floated about as if weightless.

"Caeli Vault, level four!" As soon as he entered, Tianming noticed a slight movement from his disciple card. It was clear that the Caeli Vault was evaluating his entry qualifications. Being able to add three levels to his grade due to his identity as a legitimate heir felt great. There were few in the entire Swordgod Lin clan who had his privileges. He speculated that the seemingly boundless world before him was created by the formation to bind and protect the caeli within.

"Legacy caeli of the Lin Clan! They’re the foundation of an Infinitum Clan...." The world before Tianming was filled with countless shining stars, each one containing the memory of a Lin ancestor’s lifetime’s worth of cultivation. "The last time I entered a similar place was the Violetcloud Imperium, and the Tranquil Hall before that. But those caeli can’t compare to these.”
