I Am A Prodigy
Chapter 604: The Whole Thing…Was Such A Drag to Deal With…
“Awesome!”
“So charming!”
“As expected of God Ye. Such dominance! ”
“He’s raised our country’s prestige! God Ye is a good person! This is what China ought to be like!”
“Amazing, amazing!”
The crowd was sent into a frenzy the instant Hyun-Min Kim knelt!
Shouts and screams filled the entire venue, and everyone lost themselves in the excitement. Many others were teary, and some even they plopped down on the ground to kneel. With spirits raised, their faces turned red.
“I’m proud to be Chinese!”
The pent-up anger directed toward Hyun-Min Kim was completely gone and they immediately felt as though they were reborn. That was the China they envisioned in their minds, and that was the self-respect that Chinese people should possess!
Although some people were excited, their faces expressed some worry too. “Although God Ye’s behavior relieved us of our anger, it isn’t the best way to solve the problem. I’m worried there might be more trouble coming.”
“Yeah, he’s a bit too impulsive.”
“God Ye did this for all our sakes, and for the sake of our country. Will he be punished for it?”
“I support God Ye no matter what. I support him forever!”
“Damn, I cried when I saw Hyun-Min Kim kneeling. I really haven’t been as passionate as I was that time!”
At this moment, some of the guests have already begun leaving. They walked slowly out of the passageway while laughing and chatting energetically with each other.
“The Spring Festival Gala has some really good programs this time. Especially that song ‘Come Home Often’ and the ‘The Prodigal Son’. ”
“Yeah, it was a surprise, and more importantly they were all rookie stars! ”
“This shows that talents must be unearthed. There were so many new faces!”
“My thoughts exactly. I was thinking whether we’d have to watch that Stick Nation dance again, but thank goodness it was canceled.”
“Yeah, the Stick Nation dance routine is really embarrassing…”
As they were chatting away, their conversation was halted by a sight not far from the entrance!
“This… What’s going on?”
“Am I seeing things? Why is someone kneeling there?”
“F*ck, who’s that? Why was he beaten like this?”
“What’s up with all that during New Year’s Eve? What kind of grudge did they have? ”
“It’s so cruel that they had to kneel.”
Every single person who came out of the Spring Festival Gala were startled. They could not believe their eyes, for it was as though they had seen a ghost.
It was the New Year, a time where everyone should be happy. How then, did the mood make such a drastic turn for the worse? It was far too big a contrast.
“Let’s go and see what’s going on!”
“Hurry up and call someone! This is serious.”
“I’ll be damned! Isn’t that God Ye standing next to the kneeling man?”
“Damn, it really is him!”
“No way! Did God Ye hit the person?”
The person in charge had an ashen look and a cold sweat began flowing from his pores. Anyone who could have been invited as a guest were all distinguished individuals and even leading figures. His initial plan was to solve it as soon as possible, but the situation escalated to a point where he could no longer contain it.
The guests had been watching the show earlier, so they had no idea what was happening outside. It was only then that they found out about the situation and were shaken by it.
Things soon became clear after busybodies and staff members quickly recounted bits and pieces of the story.
“WHAT? That pig head is Hyun-Min Kim?! ”
“That can’t be f*cking true, right? Isn’t Hyun-Min Him one of those young fresh meat? ”
“He’s unrecognizable. Who on earth is so ruthless? This is just cruel.”
“No way, did God Ye hit him?”
“God Ye doesn’t look like this kind of person when he was performing his crosstalk.”
“Leader, what should we do about this?” The person in charge turned around and was at a loss.
“He’s gone overboard.” The leader looked at Hyun-Min Kim, who was being pressed on the shoulders by Ye Lingchen and forced to kneel on the ground. His eyes were still rather bright, but there was still blood on the corner of his mouth. However, no one knew how many of his teeth had been knocked out. “How long has he been kneeling?”
“Almost ten minutes.”
“Oh.” The leader nodded and pondered for a moment. “It’s better to have all of them leave right now. I’m afraid the media will be arriving soon.”
“I think so too, but God Ye isn’t budging. He wants to wait until Hyun-Min Kim kneels for half an hour.” the person in charge explained bitterly.
All of a sudden, sirens began blaring.
Three police cars drove up at lightning speed and went right into the Spring Festival Gala venue.
The next moment, four policemen came down from each vehicle, totaling twelve people. Each one had solemn expressions and they rushed toward the scene of the crime.
They received phone calls reporting a violent incident, and possibly even murder, which left them quite puzzled.
The venue reported was the Spring Festival Gala. Why would violence occur there?
However, the sight of such a huge crowd finally made them realize how serious the situation actually was. They rushed in at once, afraid to drag their feet any longer.
“Police, I’d like to make a report!” A group of angry-faced little girls immediately surrounded the policemen.
“Yes, we want to make a police report on Ye Lingchen! He assaulted Hyun-Min Kim Oppa violently for no reason. You have to arrest him!”
“He’s a danger to the public and must be arrested. We want him to compensate for Hyun-Min Kim’s mental suffering!”
“Please get justice for our darling hubby!”
The level of stupidity shown by those braindead diehard fans was truly astonishing. They even went as far as to accuse Ye Lingchen of committing the crime of killing their husband.
“You bimbos are really stupid, aren’t you? Didn’t you see Hyun-Min Kim’s attitude toward you? He treats you like pigs and despises you from the bottom of his heart! He even insulted our country! Why the hell are you still helping him??” Some people chastised in anger and were annoyed at their stubbornness.
“What’s wrong with that? We love Hyun-Min Kim! Everything he does is right!”
“No one can blame the things our hubby does. Our hubby is the best!”
“Motherf*cker! No wonder Hyun-Min Kim looks down on the Chinese and doesn’t treat his fans like human beings—his fans aren’t humans, but stupid pigs who have forgotten their roots! They’re a complete disgrace to our country!”
Everyone argued with each other, and their conversation gave the police some insight into the general situation.
Away from the crowd, the leading officer was slightly stunned when he saw Ye Lingchen. ‘Isn’t it that kid?’
The leading officer was none other than Sergeant Gao. Ye Lingchen once helped him and Xu Nan to arrest the members of Earth’s Gate and had also apprehended the conman at the entrance to the police station. It was therefore unsurprising that Sergeant Gao recognized him at a glance.
Ye Lingchen was the only person fearless enough to do such a daring thing.
When he looked in the direction Hyun-Min was kneeling toward, he discovered that the latter was facing the people and the national flag!
“Police, hurry up and arrest them! Save our husband!” The diehard fans urged.
The other police officers also looked at Sergeant Gao and awaited his instruction.
They could act on their own in such a situation but were repulsed to hear those diehard fans constantly calling Hyun-Min Kim ‘hubby. After taking another look at the almost pig-faced Kim Hyun-Min, they wondered why it was that they felt so pleased.
The whole thing…was such a drag to deal with…
