Chapter 243 - A Good Beginning for Huo Yuanjia!
I Am A Prodigy
Chapter 243: A Good Beginning for Huo Yuanjia!
Silence took over!
Compared to Miyako’s splitting of a single die, Ye Lingchen’s situation could be considered a miracle, one that blew everyone’s mind.
Miyako…lost.
“G-g-grandmaster Ye won?” Lu Hao muttered to himself, as though he were dreaming and trapped in a daze.
His voice snapped many of them back to their senses. In an instant, the hall went into an uproar!
“Is that for real? Or are my eyes playing tricks on me?”
“Illusion. This must be an illusion!”
“Ah! My eyes! My 24K titanium alloy dog eyes are blind!
“This is just like a fantasy. It’s so unbelievable, even a novel wouldn’t write it this way!”
Waves of cheers followed. In an instant, it washed through the venue like a tsunami.
“How did you do it?”
Miyako’s face lost all color in an instant. She stared at Ye Lingchen in a dazed state as she asked the question.
“Is that something you should ask? Call me master first.” Ye Lingchen said to Miyako with a smile.
“You’re crossing the line!” Miyako’s eyes narrowed, glaring at Ye Lingchen as she bellowed while gripping her fists tightly.
“What now? You’re going back on your words?” Ye Lingchen pursed his lips. “Or could it be that you forgot our bet?”
Towards people from the Sun Nation, he felt no guilt at all. Furthermore, they tried to lay their hands on China’s land. He wanted to let them fail and pay accordingly!
An extremely bitter struggle played out on Miyako’s face. A bet is a bet. That was the core of her principles as a gambler.
She studied the art of gambling from a young age. From the most basic of the rules of gambling, she had strictly followed every one of them. She had made a name for herself and must defend her honor at all costs!
“M-m-master.” Miyako squeezed the word out through her gritted teeth.
She actually called him master.
Thousands of expressions of shock soared through the hearts of the people around them. The scene was just too impactful and scary.
Miyako was the disciple of the Gambling King, yet at that moment, she became someone’s…maid?!
If not for them witnessing it in person, they would not even dare dream about it!
“Not bad!”
Ye Lingchen nodded satisfyingly. “Since you’re now my maid, then you should get rid of that kimono. It looks funny. Go get changed.”
Soon, Ye Lingchen had specifically picked out a cheongsam for Miyako.
“As expected. When it comes to clothing, China is more stylish. Your kimono is too complicated,” Ye Lingchen dissed. His gaze made Miyako extremely uneasy, causing hatred to grow in her heart.
“Grandmaster Ye, these are the chips you won, totaling at RMB465,000,000,” Lu Hao said with a smile as he passed Ye Lingchen an atm card from which he cashed out all the chips.
“There’s only 400 million?” Ye Lingchen’s brows twitched. It would seem that another 65 million was swiped away by the casino. What a waste!
This gambling competition ended a lot faster than previous years, but the excitement and its consequences were sufficient to send chills down many spines.
Up until Ye Lingchen and company left the scene, the discussions about them never stopped. Everyone could not help but remember Ye Lingchen, the mysterious young man, and engraved that memory deep within their hearts.
Some even prophesied that he would eventually become the Gambling King!
Meanwhile, Ye Lingchen had long boarded the plane that the Lu family had prepared. Along the way, Miyako’s expression was not pleasant. It was as ugly as it could be.
“Hey, what’s the expression for?” Ye Lingchen suddenly looked towards Miyako. “Smile for me!”
Miyako’s eyes were filled with shame. Glaring hatefully at Ye Lingchen, she forced out a smile.
“Now that’s better.” Ye Lingchen sat down in a relaxed manner. He then patted the seat beside him, indicating for Miyako to sit over there.
Right then, an air stewardess brought some fruits over. Originally personal attendants served him by his side, but they were dismissed by Ye Lingchen. He instead had Miyako peel the grapes for him.
“Know your limits!” Miyako finally could not hold it back any longer, her face flushed with anger.
“A maid should behave like a maid. Is that the proper tone to talk to me?” Ye Lingchen snorted. “Remember, when you speak with me, you need to add the word “master”!”
Miyako stopped breathing for a moment, shaking in rage, yet she kept mum and quietly peeled the grapes for Ye Lingchen.
Nearby, Lu Hao and Lu Tianxiong were in their seats, sweating bullets as their hearts raced.
Grandmaster Ye’s bravery is truly unrivaled, a model for our generation.
Miyako’s status was rather special. At first, everyone thought that Ye Lingchen was only joking and would let Miyako go after the incident to gain some favor. Who would have expected him to really treat Miyako as his maid!
It was no longer sufficient to describe it as fearless.
Regardless, they dared not say nor ask anything.
After all, be it Grandmaster Ye or Miyako, both were not someone they could afford to cross.
At the same time, more and more discussions of Huo Yuanjia appeared online. They were beginning to sing a different tune. Furthermore, this time around, news spread quickly.
[This movie is amazing. I can guarantee with my honor that it is a masterpiece!]

[OMGWTFBBQ! If not because of Y, I would have lost my chance to watch such an amazing movie. That’s it, I’m going to watch a second round!]
[Sob sob sob. This movie made me cry towards the end. It’s passionate, moving, and romantic. Most importantly, there’re Chinese Kungfu and nationalism!]

Those reviews had all popped up out of nowhere since the previous night. Furthermore, it was like an unstoppable wave. Apart from the spammers, all those who watched the movie gave it good reviews!
At first, a lot of them were merely giving face to Y and watched it for the Chinese Kungfu. Some were even watching it out of curiosity. After all, Huo Yuanjia’s review scores were really low from the beginning. However, they did not expect to be met with such a huge surprise!
It was great!
Amazing!
The entire movie had no wasted moments throughout. The plot was constantly moving forward. Chinese Kungfu was also present from the beginning to the end, keeping the viewers immersed in the story.
Little Ge was a movie blogger. Normally, he would share his thoughts on a movie on Weibo and recommend some excellent movie titles. Romance, stress relief, anti-Sun Nation, or some classic inspirational film.
Nonetheless, on that day, he went into deep thought after exiting the cinema. He then came up with a special topic titled—Thoughts on Huo Yuanjia!
