Spending the Villain’s Money to Extend My Life

Chapter 348: Did the boss get an upgrade? What’s with these mushy words? (2)

Headache.

As Gu Shishi thought, she let out a sigh outside of the study with the pillow in her hand.

So awful.

This was too awful.

She finally realized what the system meant when it said she needed to keep up her good work and not to slack.

She didn’t even make it into his bedroom after the wedding. She was a bride staying in the gust room.

What the heck?!

Never mind, this was all room for her to go from LV6 to LV10!

Gu Shishi comforted herself. She could understand it by putting herself in his shoes.

He was a super germophobic man with severe insomnia. It was only normal that he wished to rest on his own at night.

Besides, the boss had only known her for a little over half a year at most.

This was already a shotgun wedding.

Baby steps. Baby steps.

She needed to take it slow and easy.

She couldn’t give the boss pressure. She needed to give the boss time to warm up to it all.

As she thought about these tenderly, she lifted her hand and selected the Bride halo that she was hesitating about!

Alright, either it didn’t happen!

Or she was going to squeeze him for every last drop that he got!

As she was just about to turn around and leave, a series of chimes could be heard from inside the pocket of her nightgown.

She quickly put her hand over her pocket and cautiously took three steps away from the study. Then, still worried that it wasn’t good enough, she took another two steps.

She definitely didn’t want the boss to know that she came looking for him in the middle of the night!

When she was at a safe zone, she reached for her cellphone…

Her foot moved half a step back and she stepped solidly onto something!

Gu Shishi looked down.

— It was a man’s slipper and an immaculate white sock.

She had an embarrassed smile immediately.

“Good evening, Mm… Mr. Huo.”

Gu Shishi placed her hand nervously over the cellphone and her face was beet red.

What had just happened?

She was just thinking about squeezing him dry and he showed up right away.

Of course she’d have guilty conscience.

Her heart throbbed inside of her chest. This totally felt like a kid misbehaving and was caught red-handed by an adult.

Under such situation, she was completely unaware of how inappropriate she appeared to an adult male right now.

Her hair wrapped up into a loose bun on her head. A few strands of her hair, however, fell down and over her elegant white neck.

Slightly nervous, she was clutching on the long pillow in her hands. Her powder-like little face lowering slightly which further accentuated the outline of her swan-like neck.

Further, she had back to him and, as she had stepped onto the top of his foot, she had stopped backing up which caused her back to be somewhat touching him.

He looked down and could immediately see the suggestive curvature and smooth whiteness under the collar of what she thought was a very conservative night gown that was now being pushed up and out by the pillow…

Huo Sishen’s brows furrowed deeply instantaneously.

The temperature of where the two bodies were in contact with each other seemed to be going up. To the point of almost burning, if he may add.

“You looking for me?”

It was the middle of the night and she was pacing back and forth outside of his study in her nightgown with a pillow in her arms.

Probably no normal men could resist thoughts in a certain direction.

Gu Shishi blushed.

Yeah!

But could she possibly say that out loud?

Would that make her seem too pro-active and aggressive?

Nevertheless, as a new bride, it was not a pleasant feeling to be left in the guest room by herself.

She pretended that she did not step on him at all and she rubbed her little feet in her rabbit fur slipper on the carpet.

“Em, no. I’m just pacing around.”

Huo Sishen raised his brows.

Following her movements, he looked down at the tip of her foot.

The back of her foot, fair with a hint of pink, bowed slightly. She had, indeed, bounce around a lot in her bare feet on the beach over those few days.
