“Load them in my car.” Xie Huilan opened the trunk. “Are we having dinner outside or at home?”

“Let’s eat at home. I will prepare something delicious for you. What do you want to eat? We can drop by the market on our way back.”

Xie Huilan smiled. “The weather is cold, and I feel like eating hotpot. It is convenient too. Haha….”

Dong Xuebing pulled out a piece of luggage from his car and threw it into the Land Rover’s trunk. “Ok. Do you prefer beef or mutton?”

“You drive.” Dong Xuebing bid goodbye to Luo Haiting and entered the front passenger seat.

Xie Huilan smiled and entered the driver’s seat. She fastened her seatbelt and stepped on the accelerator. The Land Rover quickly left the City Party Committee compound.

The staff was still looking at that director and discussing them.

“I didn’t expect Director Dong and Mayor Xie are husband and wife.”

Dong Xuebing did not hear everyone’s discussions, but he could now guess what they were saying. He smiled to himself.

Xie Huilan looked at him. “Why are you smiling to yourself?”

Dong Xuebing replied. “Nothing….”

“Why are you so happy? Share it with me, ok?”

Dong Xuebing reached over and patted Xie Huilan’s hand. “You had made me proud today. Look at everyone’s reaction.”

Dong Xuebing felt proud to have Xie Huilan as his wife.
