Chapter 1674 - : The Big Plan

Warrior’s Promise

Chapter 1674: The Big Plan

At the Southern Border of the Imperial Ancestor Court, beacons shot up to the sky. 20,000 soldiers from Blood Pupil Clan besieged Black Mountain Fort.

Without the protection of the army from Black Mountain Fort, the surrounding cities, towns, Spiritual Stones Mines, Black Metal Mines, and the rest of the places had been attacked by Blood Pupil Clan.

In just a few days, four Spiritual Stones Mines, two Black Metal Mines, three small cities, and eight towns had been encroached upon by Blood Pupil Clan.

Blood Pupil Clan had taken over the resources and many commoners had died a tragic death. There was bloodshed at the Southern Territory.

The soldiers from Black Cloud Army and Red Dragon Camp traveled two days and two nights in the 10 warships before they came near to Black Mountain Fort.

Black Mountain Fort was situated at the foot of a huge black mountain and it was like a huge, crouching beast. The mountain range had separated it from the territory of Blood Pupil Clan.

Some parts of the long city wall at Black Mountain Fort had been damaged and large cracks were all over the ground.

The surrounding area of Black Mountain Fort had turned into a large pool.

A white Air Shield hung above Black Mountain Fort and covered it up.

Apparently, that was the Black Mountain Fort’s Defense Array.

None of the men from Blood Pupil Clan was seen outside Black Mountain Fort and it was apparent that they had left.

All of them heaved a sigh of relief when they saw that Black Mountain Fort had come to no harm.

The 10 warships stopped in front of Black Mountain Fort and more than 20,000 soldiers flew down and landed in front of the gate of Black Mountain Fort.

The Second Princess then stored the warships.

“The Second Princess has led the army over. Open the city gate quickly!” A female guard who was beside the Second Princess shouted.

Many soldiers were standing around the city tower and they had already noticed the soldiers from Black Cloud Army and Red Dragon Camp.

“Hahaha, the Second Princess has brought reinforcement to us. We will have no worries now!”

Hearty laughter broke out at the city tower and a middle-aged general in golden armor waved his hand and said, “Shut down the Fortify City Array for the time-being and welcome the Second Princess and the army into the city!”

After a while, the Fortify City Array above Black Mountain Fort disappeared and the city gate opened up.

“Get into the city!”

The Second Princess shouted and took the lead to walk to the Fort. The soldiers from Black Cloud Army and Red Dragon Camp followed closely behind her and entered Black Mountain Fort.

Although Black Mountain Fort was known as a Fort, it was in fact a huge city. Other than having 100,000 soldiers guarding over the city, there were many ordinary martial artists living in the city.

Those martial artists formed the army. When the martial artists reached certain cultivation level, they would join the army.

After 22,000 soldiers from Black Cloud Army and Red Dragon Camp entered the Fort, they stayed on at the campsite at the Southern Region of the Fort.

At the main hall of the General’s office.

Several high-ranking military officers in armor gathered at the main hall.

The one sitting in the main seat was a middle-aged General in a golden armor. He looked stern and domineering.

At his lower left were 20 high-ranking military officers from the Fort, and they sat with a serious mien.

The person sitting on the first seat on his right was, apparently, Gu Feifei, the Second Princess.

The other three seats were occupied by Commander Jin Tai and the two platoon leaders, Hua Xun and Ren Tianya.

The seats after them were occupied by the high-ranking military officers from Black Cloud Army and Red Dragon Camp and they included Su Mo, Zhu Tong, and Jin Lu.

Su Mo was the squadron leader of Red Dragon Camp, so he could participate in the meeting. Jin Lu and Zhu Tong were there as they were the Deputy Generals of Black Cloud Army.

“General Zhu Long, I do not see any men from Blood Pupil Clan outside the Fort. Have they retreated?” The Second Princess asked the General in golden armor as she looked at him.

The General in a golden armor was known as Zhu Long. He was the Commanding Officer of Black Mountain Fort and he was from the Zhu family in the Holy Dynasty.

“Princess, the men from Blood Pupil Clan must have received news that you are on your way here and they retreated one hour ago!” Zhu Long replied.

“Oh? That is great!” The Second Princess nodded when she heard it. They could avoid bloodshed since Blood Pupil Clan had retreated of their own accord.

“Princess, you have no idea how complicated the situation is over here!” General Zhu Long said with a sigh.

“Please tell me about it, General Zhu!” The Second Princess said.

General Zhu Long pondered for a while and said, “This time around, the men from Blood Pupil Clan have invaded us to take over our resources. 200,000 soldiers besieged the Fort and, as we have been trapped, they made use of this opportunity to seize the resources from our surrounding areas. Many cities, towns, and mines have been taken over by them.”

“Why did the other Forts around not send reinforcement to you?” The Second Princess asked curiously. There were more than 10 Forts in the Southern Border other than Black Mountain Fort.

“Princess, Dhara State and the forces in the other areas at the border start to stir up trouble recently, thus they are unable to send reinforcements to us!” Zhu Long replied.

“I see!”

The Second Princess nodded. After pondering for a while, she asked, “What happened to those cities, towns and mines that have been taken over by Blood Pupil Clan? Has the Clan retreated from these places?”

“I have no idea. One hour ago, I sent some men over to check it out. We should be receiving news soon!” Zhu Long replied.

General Zhu Long told the Second Princess about the situation at the Southern Border in detail.

Su Mo listened quietly to the conversation between General Zhu Long and the Second Princess and he had a good understanding about the situation.

Judging from the current situation, Blood Pupil Clan seemed to have retreated of their own accord and there should not be any war.

Within the long stretch of the black mountain range, a large group of soldiers stationed themselves deep in the valley.

The scale was large and there were more than 200,000 soldiers. There was no tent or battle flag to be seen.

The army gathered in the valley and some of them were meditating, some were cultivating, and some of them were simply chatting with each other.

Those people were of ordinary build and they were short. Their eyes were red and they were the men from Blood Pupil Clan.

A Delusionary Array had been set up above the valley and the people from the outside world would not be able to see the valley. Naturally, they would not discover the army.

Three people were sitting cross-legged in a cave deep in the valley. One of them was Elder Xue Cheng from Blood Pupil Clan.

If Su Mo was present, he would recognize the other two people. They were Honored Wu Han and Wu Fengtian.

“Brother Wu Han, because of your big plan, I have led my army over. So far, I have lost a few thousand men!” Elder Xue Cheng said with a sigh as he looked at Wu Han.

This time around, Blood Pupil Clan had acceded to the requests of Wu Han and Wu Fengtian and they had invaded the Imperial Ancestor Court.

If it was only Wu Han who had put up the request, Blood Pupil Clan would not have mobilized the troop. However, Wu Fengtian was the Young Clan Leader of Heavenly Underworld Star from the Sorcerer Tribe and he carried much weight.

“Elder Xue Cheng, don’t worry. I will compensate you accordingly!” Honored Wu Han said with a smile. They were able to engage the help of Blood Pupil Clan as they had promised to reward them handsomely.

Wu Han could not be bothered with the losses that Elder Xue Cheng had mentioned. Those people were just nobodies and they were not worth mentioning.

Moreover, the spoils that Blood Pupil Clan had seized over the past few days were worth the losses even if more lives were lost.
