Chapter 64

The Law of Webnovels

Chapter 64: Chapter 64

.

It was six in the evening when the kids finished pre-grading their test results, so the sky was beaming the rays of the setting sun. Above the reddened classroom floor, Ban Yeo Ryung’s shadow was stretching out.

Eun Jiho peeped inside the classroom then asked me with his eyes on me.

“Dude, how long did it take for Ban Yeo Ryung to consider?”

As I was also looking in the classroom, I responded without giving him an eye.

“Not even a minute.”

“That’s why they say birds of a feather flock together.”

Eun Jiho’s reply made me frown and lift my head to see him. He turned his head back to look at the classroom, so all I could see was his shiny silver hair.

I mean, why did he say birds of a feather flock together? It seems like… As soon as I questioned his words in mind, Eun Hyung asked from behind.

“Eun Jiho, what are you talking about?”

“Huh?”

Eun Hyung’s question turned Eun Jiho’s head back to look at Eun Hyung this time. Eun Jiho’s face revealed that he lost his interest in the conversation inside the classroom ever since Ban Yeo Ryung refused the love confession in a blink of an eye.

Eun Hyung, who had eye contact with Eun Jiho, frowned his brows, and a sign of annoyance was surprisingly painted on his face.

It made me wonder. Eun Hyung always managed things gently and did not waste his emotions unnecessarily; therefore, he rarely got angry. I seldom saw this angered expression on him before.

A moment after, Eun Hyung eased the corner of his lip and spoke with a soft voice.

“I mean, you said that birds of a feather flock together just now.”

“Yeah.”

At that moment, I intervened into their conversation. As Eun Hyung glanced at me during his words, he seemed to request a clarification.

I said, “Hey, I received no love confessions in middle school. Ban Yeo Ryung and I are different.”

“What?”

“There should be some confessions for me to ponder on before you could lump me in the same category as Ban Yeo Ryung. Nothing happened, right? You’re getting others wrong as if someone asked me to go out with them or something.”

“Hmm…?”

Eun Jiho made a weird sound, knitting his silver brows.

What’s wrong with him? I turned my head but soon had eye contact with Eun Hyung. He then shrugged his shoulders, giving out a giggle. It looked as though it surprised him to know that I got a love confession without being aware of it.

The conversation inside the classroom was still going on monotonously. To be honest, the guy’s voice seemed to be in a hurry whereas Ban Yeo Ryung’s voice was vigorless. It would be disrespectful to the guy, but Ban Yeo Ryung’s tone was like, ‘I got it so scram,’ or something like that.

I also understood how Ban Yeo Ryung was feeling right now. In order to confess to her, they called her to come out of the classroom for over a hundred times so far. She once received a confession from a popular senior in school, so some kids took a dim view of her. The many quarrels and hassles that happened to her might have started because of those things.

As I paused while listening to their conversation, I looked back at Eun Jiho since I thought he would say something like, ‘Oh, I was just confused.’ He was, however, looking upset, frowning his smooth forehead.

What the…? As I was about to think like that, Eun Jiho opened his mouth.

“Dude, you received a confession.”

“What?”

What was he talking about? I remember nothing of that kind As these thoughts confused my mind, Eun Jiho turned his head from me suddenly. His attitude was like, ‘I have nothing to say to you no more.’

I turned my head again to the other side, and this time, I met Yoo Chun Young’s eyes.

He gently threw up his blue eyes then shrugged his shoulders as a gesture of saying ‘what would I know.’ Through the window over his shoulder, I saw Woo Jooin looking around Ban Yeo Ryung.

He suddenly turned out to scream, “No, he did the thing!”

As soon as Woo Jooin yelled out those words, Eun Jiho, who was leaning on the back door, ran into the classroom with a twitch.

Inside the dusk deepened classroom, there was Eun Jiho, who was already holding the guy’s wrist, and Ban Yeo Ryung, who was leaning on the desk in surprise.

It was not her first time to get hugged by a guy lost in her beauty in the middle of a love confession. The reason we gathered around the backdoor was because of this.

She took a few stumbling steps back before looking at me. Her face seemed so shocked that I thought she would soon burst out tears; however, I was wrong.

Yeo Ryung shoved her hand roughly into her disheveled hair, swept it back, and fetched a low sigh. It looked as though this entire debacle exhausted her greatly.

Then she turned her head back to look at the guy.

She said, “I wish I never see you anymore, sunbae.”

Since she called him sunbae, we found out that the guy was actually an upperclassman. His plastic name tag on his chest was shining under the sunset; the green color on it meant he was a sophomore.

Eun Jiho had grabbed the wrist of the sunbae, who looked like a punk with an open shirt. He then stared at Ban Yeo Ryung for a while, fuming out of anger.

He screamed, “Hey, you bitch! Do you think you’re that pretty? You’re just one girl around me. What’s with your fu*king attitude, bitch!?”

If a word had a shape, his biting remarks would look like pieces of glass. His words were pouring straightly onto Ban Yeo Ryung’s trembling shoulders like broken glass pieces.

I pulled Ban Yeo Ryung’s head to me involuntarily. She was a little taller than me, so I almost laid her head on my shoulder.

She was not crying but heaved a sigh since this conversation was already starting to feed her up. The next thing she did was raising her hand to cover my ears. It seemed that she did not want me to hear those dirty words.

While her hand was covering my ears, all the noise scattered away in a low and muffled sound. Then I saw Eun Jiho holding up the guy’s collar with a ferocious face. He was not seizing him by the collar, but the guy soon turned deadly pale with fear. Even I would become so frightened if Eun Jiho did that to me.

Eun Jiho’s platinum blond hair was red under the sunset, which looked like he was Satan who crawled straight from hell. Though I was only looking at his back, I could tell Eun Jiho’s face from here. When he whispered something to the guy’s ear, his pale face even turned whiter with shock.

Finally, when Kwon Eun Hyung said something to the guy while pulling his shoulders, the sophomore quivered like a patient who was about to stretcher off.

He hunched his shoulder for a while but pulled out his neck again to shout out his anger. His voice was so loud that it went into my covered ears clearly.

“You fu*king newbies threatening an upper grade with a group! Do you think us sophomores will stand by this? Fu*king bastards! Attacking in a group instead of facing us one-on-one…!”

He, however, could not continue his words any longer. That was because Yoo Chun Young, who was leaning against the desk near the guy, kicked a chair towards him.

The chair fell exactly in front of the guy with a loud thud.

Kicking the chair was not something too frightening or special, but the horrifying noise was resonating around the classroom for quite a while which surprised me as well.

Ban Yeo Ryung breathed quietly while leaning on my shoulder, but her hands became a little loose. Because of that, I could clearly hear what Yoo Chun Young said.

He spoke with a ghastly face I never saw before… no, a face I saw about one time in my life.

“If you want a one-on-one, I’ll give you a one-on-one.”

“W… what?”

The guy stuttered his and soon reddened as he realized how he stammered.

Yoo Chun Young stood in front of him, having his foot on the fallen chair. He then spoke while slightly tilting his head.

“You look fu*king easy that I’d beat you up in a one-on-one easily. What makes you think we’re here in a group because of you? What a stupid confidence you have.”

Whoa, it had been a long time since I saw Yoo Chun Young looking like the ‘― ―’ character in a web novel.
