Chapter 521: Identity Exposed

I’m Not Going to Be Bullied By a Girl

Chapter 521: Identity Exposed

Peng TouSi was right. If Ai ShuQiao knew the importance of the surgery, she would only send a doctor if I met one of her conditions.

A conservative estimate was that Ai ShuQiao also wanted to lead me down a path of crime so we could conquer the world while exploiting each other.

“Lin, what do you think about this.” Peng TouSi gave me an idea, “Miss Ai Mi is taking a nap now, but once she wakes up, go and beg her by saying there’s something wrong with your brain and you need an operation. Hopefully she can get a surgeon from the United States…”

“Hey.” I was mad, “Who has something wrong with their brain.”

“It’s just an example.” Peng TouSi waved his hand, “I’ll use the medical equipment in the VIP building to create a fake brain CT scan for you. You could say you got cerebral edema from a fight, as long as you’re willing to beg Miss Ai Mi, she will definitely agree to your request.”

“Cerebral edema?” I frowned, “Does that even need surgery?”

Peng TouSi smiled, “Don’t worry, Miss Ai Mi doesn’t have that much medical common sense. As long as you lie and say there’s something wrong with your brain, she will definitely save you.”

Peng TouSi worked fast and quickly gave me a fake brain CT scan. The cerebral edema was created with the shadow of half a banana. It was really unprofessional and I hope Ai Mi wouldn’t be able to tell.

20 minutes later, I went to Ai Mi’s bedroom, lowered my head in an undignified way and said, “I… I seem to be sick…”

Maybe it’s because I didn’t look sick because my words didn’t attract Ai Mi’s attention. To my surprise, she didn’t look like she had just woken from a nap. She looked very clear-headed, and her panting and the redness of her cheeks indicated she had just been in a dangerous situation.

“Good job, manservant.”

Ai Mi inexplicably complimented me.

“Eh, what did I do.” I still hadn’t given her the fake scan with the banana yet, so I don’t think she’s mocking me.

Ai Mi shook her feet excitedly as she sat on the princess bed covered with a purple canopy.

“Hmph, remember I told you before that I wanted to take a look at Peng TouSi’s surveillance room?”

“Oh… I think so, but you didn’t have the key.”

I remember Ai Mi was trying to get into the surveillance room to see if there were any footage of room 101 locked in the steel cabinets. Then she could speculate where the cameras were installed in the room based on the footage and thus remove them all, but because Peng TouSi always watched the key, so there hasn’t been a good opportunity for a while.

“Haha, manservant, you won’t believe it. I was lying in bed, tossing and turning because I couldn’t sleep, then Obama actually sneaked in with the key to the surveillance room in his mouth to exchange for food.”

I looked at Obama who was lying down in the corner while gnawing on a steak. It looks like he had his wish fulfilled and made an equivalent exchange.

Damn, the dog is like a god. He was able to see through Ai Mi’s mind and found a way to steal the key from Peng TouSi. Peng TouSi would have never expected a dog to steal from him.

“So you went to the surveillance room, did you find any evidence there were cameras in this room?”

“Well… I originally didn’t have enough time, but it’s a good thing you came over and distracted Peng TouSi. I wasn’t able to find the footage, but I did find this.”

Ai Mi took out a thick paper bag from behind her and proudly showed it off to me.

“Tsk, it’s pretty heavy.” She threw the paper bag on the bed and all the documents inside poured out like a white peacock opening its tail.

Almost all of them were in English except for one that was written in Chinese. It was a receipt from the children’s center in Dong Shan City’s Yining District (also known as the special education school). Peng TouSi donates half his income every month to that cash-strapped school, which was something I already knew about.

That means the paper bag was filled with Peng TouSi’s personal documents. I suddenly had a bad feeling and said to Ai Mi:

“These things seem to have nothing to do with the security camera. Let’s not look through Peng TouSi’s private items, it’s rude…”

“Where does a bodyguard get personal privacy?” Ai Mi said unreasonably, “If you’re my subordinate, then you have to give up personal privacy and focus on protecting me. The same goes for you, now come and help me look for traces of security footage.”

I had a request for Ai Mi, so I could only aimlessly rummage through the various English documents. Actually, with my English level, I was probably causing more trouble than helping.

But by a freak coincidence, my eyes fell onto a printout with a strange table drawn on it. There was a double helix structure representing DNA drawn in the upper left corner, while the left part of the table seemed to have Ai Mi’s English name written on it.

In the right half of the table, an “L” was faintly visible.

I felt my heart skip a beat.

Maybe it was the word “Lin Ye”, aka the English spelling of “Ye Lin”. Was this the paper that proved Ai Mi and I were related?

Peng TouSi once told me that the test results were locked in the cabinets of his office. So his office is the surveillance room? If it’s something that important, make sure to lock it up properly!

Although I’ve thought about confessing our brother-sister relationship to Ai Mi, but it might be too much of a shock to have the evidence suddenly appear in front of her. Will she even be able to accept reality when she sees the lab results?

I pretended to inadvertently pull the sheet away and planned to quietly put it into the ‘worthless’ folder that was full of stuff Ai Mi already checked.

Not sure why, but Obama suddenly howled towards the sky. I was feeling guilty and the sheet slipped from my hands and fell onto the bed.

I reflexively grabbed it, but my overly exaggerated actions made Ai Mi suspicious.

“Hey, manservant, what’s that in your hand?”

“Nothing, it’s nothing…” I backed up while thinking that if Ai Mi came over to grab it, I would tear it up and eat it rather than giving it to her.”

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with revealing our brother-sister relationship, it’s actually good for me since we can both get along more naturally. But since Li CunZhuang needs a surgeon, it’s not a good idea to have Ai Mi suddenly accept her new identity and add more variables to the field.

“It’s… not something for good kids to see.” I started to move away from Ai Mi’s bed while holding the lab results.

Ai Mi’s nose twitched, then she ordered in a high-pitched voice: “Hand it over, it’s Peng TouSi’s privacy and not yours. Even if it was your privacy, I still have the right to see it whenever I want.”

If all else fails, retreat. I turned around and ran towards the living room, but heard an “ouch” from behind me. I subconsciously turned around and found that Ai Mi had fallen off the bed with her golden ponytails sprawled out across the carpet.

“Hey, are you okay?” I turned back with worry not expecting Ai Mi to get up with a smirk on her face. She wasn’t injured and deliberately yelled to get my attention.

I was angry and was about to tear up sheet in my hand when Ai Mi waved her hand at Obama and ordered.

“Grab that sheet of paper for me and I’ll give you permission to not diet for a month.”

The black and white dog pounced liked lightning and instantly tore the lab sheet into two halves. Only a small piece was left in my hand. The majority of it was in Obama’s mouth as he wagged his tail to Ai Mi for credit.

I couldn’t stop it. Ai Mi sat cross-legged on the carpet and took the lab results from Obama.

Her ice-blue eyes swept up and down and she was immediately filled with doubt.

“… confirmed that the two parties are indeed half-brother and sister…”

Ai Mi translated the contents of the lab results to Chinese as I facepalmed.

“Who and who are brother and sister?” Ai Mi’s voice suddenly became ethereal and the room resounded with an echo of her voice as if it were a deep mountain valley.

I was silent as Ai Mi read the lab results over and over again. My silent reaction made her tremble even more.

“Who took my DNA without permission.” Ai Mi’s voice gradually got louder and it was full of anger and fear, almost approaching the level of a scream, “Why is my name written on it?! And who is this ‘Lin’?!”

Obama was shocked by his female owner’s abnormal condition. He may be highly intelligent, but he still couldn’t understand what was going on and only barked at me.

“What’s going on?” Peng TouSi came inside when he heard the racket. He saw Ai Mi sitting on the carpet and the DNA test sheet in her hand. He drew a cross in the air with worry.

“Oh lord, I can’t believe I lost the key.”

“So it was you.” Ai Mi’s frail body trembled as she cast an indignant glance at Peng TouSi, “Who is this ‘Lin’? Was it the Korean guy that I did a commercial with last year? I’m going to have my mom catch him, torture him, and ask him why he used fake DNA to impersonate as my brother. He is trying to promote himself, right? His eyes are so small that he can’t even see, how does he look like my brother…”

“Miss Ai Mi, you have to remain calm.” Peng TouSi closed the door to the room and said calmly, “I was going to tell you about it one day, but since you learned about it today by accident, I suggest you not run away and accept it calmly.”

“The truth, what truth?” Ai Mi hysterically pulled at her hair and it seems she intentionally tried not to look at me.

“Actually you already know the answer in your mind, don’t you.” Peng TouSi continued to guide her, while Ai Mi’s eyes gradually filled with fear.

“All along, you have been treating Ye Lin as a manservant…”

Peng TouSi deliberately stressed the word “Lin”.

“And the proud Ye Lin allowed you to call him that, and willingly let you order him around. It wasn’t because he coveted your money or anything else…”

“I’m not listening, I’m not listening, I’m not listening.” Ai Mi covered her ears and yelled out loud in protest.

Peng TouSi still finished his words.

“It’s because you and Ye Lin have the same mother.”

“He is your half-brother, and that is the truth.”
