Chapter 469

Commanding Wind and Cloud

Chapter 469: Who Are the Bandits?

Linguan Honzhe said with a big yawn, “Well, you two continue what you have done this time if anything happens again!”

What? Staring at Linguan Honzhe, Tence Matten suddenly laughed. Was the Sleeping Lion King trying to lecture him about comrades and friends? Was he suggesting they were buddies now because they had fought together?

Tence Matten laughed the absurd idea away. Royal members didn’t need any friends, especially the future emperor! What he needed were just a clear mind and overbearing leadership!

Friend? Tence Matten took a glance at Qian Jin and decried the noun for the second time in his heart. Making a friend only meant one would be more easily subject to feelings! He would make more mistakes or incorrect judgments, which might stand in his way in the end.

“Come on,” Qian Jin got up and walked to the ruins. “Go check what we have earned. There should be a basement here.”

Hearing this, Tence Matten followed behind as he bandaged his wounds up.

15,000 gold coins, 6,000 silver coins, swords, food, cloth…

Looking at all those stuff, Qian Jin laughed! He would have jumped up if it had been a few years ago, but now? He only felt sorry for this bandit group. How could they call themselves professional robbers being so poor?

The dead bandits should feel wronged! 15,000 gold coins were, in fact, a good fortune! Threading through the goods that the bandits hadn’t sold, Qian Jin tried to find out if there was an undiscovered treasure.

Icy Black Jade? Squatting in front of a box of iron ore, Qian Jin reached out and picked up a fist-sized ball for a closer look. It was indeed an Icy Black Jade, which was usually mistaken as Dark-Cloud Iron Ore!

“Wow! I didn’t expect this…” Rubbing the ball in his hand, Qian Jin couldn’t help but laugh out loud. Fortunately, those silly bandits hadn’t recognized this. They could have sold it at an auction and split the money to live an extravagant life.

It was a hundred times more expensive than the other items added up! No… It might reach a thousand times if it came across a rich connoisseur! This special mineral could be of very great service to forging, Pharmacy, Mystic Potion or even Runes!

Most importantly, it could be applied in making a Soul Weapon! As an auxiliary material, it had the best compatibility. With its presence, even the most repelling substances could get along with each other.

Icy Black Jade was not required for a Soul Weapon. But with it, the success rate could be boosted at least by 10%!

Conceptually, it meant he would make one Soul Weapon out of every ten trials! Any Forge Grandmaster would be wild with jealousy.

As to pharmacy, Mystic Potion, and Rune, it would play different roles.

“Such a big piece…” Qian Jin rolled the new discovery in his hand. “Gee… It is enough for multiple trials…”

Icy Black Jade?” Rocking a brand-new fan, Tence Matten came closer and asked uncertainly. “What is that? ”

Qian Jin leered at the fan and sounded him out. “Is this…”

“I have hundreds more in my Warrior Dimension!” Tence Matten cracked a careless smile. “Just for precaution! Do you want one? No? Tell me what this is.”

Putting hundreds of fans in the Warrior Dimension? Qian Jin looked at the man as if he were not the same species. He was too flirty…

“It’s a kind of mineral.”

“A kind of mineral?” Tence Matten raised his eyebrows, trying to cut the fence. “I know most minerals. Why I haven’t heard about it?”

Qian Jin shrugged. He only came to know this by the notes of Blake and other masters in the Endless World. Almost all of them had mentioned it and labeled it as extremely rare.

After pondering for a moment, Qian Jin answered, in summary, “It’s expensive.”

“Expensive?” The good student continued to ask.

“Yes, very expensive.”

“How expensive?”

“Well, a layman might pay a few copper coins. A broker might pay a million gold coins. While a connoisseur is willing to pay for ten million!”

“That expensive? Then, how much are you willing to pay?”

“Whatever it takes!”

“Are you suggesting you are the best connoisseur?”

“No, what I mean is the best connoisseur would get it eventually, by paying, snatching or stealing.”

“Then why did you put it away if it’s so valuable like you said?”

“I was planning to pocket it since I’m the connoisseur here.”

“Fair enough.” Tence Matten finally stopped asking questions. Shaking his fan, he walked here and there, trying to spot something of value that he was an expert in.

Unfortunately, it went against his expectoration. After searing for a moment, he went back empty-handed and Qian Jin had stockpiled all the ores in case they could find their way in future use.

In a short period of time, the basement full of goods was robbed.

Out of the basement, Qian Jin took a few breaths and cracked a satisfactory smile. A bandit-hunter seemed to be a dream job! What was out there in other bandits’ warehouses? Were there also some advanced raw materials being mistaken as shit? He was itching to find out!

“Come on, let’s go rob the next base!” Patting off the dirt on his clothes, Tence Matten walked out in a hurry. Next time, he must find the most valuable thing before Qian Jin! That man couldn’t have all the treasuries to himself! After all, he was the sixth prince of the Zence Empire whose memory retained everything he read.

[A Destruction Bill Bandit Group]

[Seventy Battle Blade Bandit Group Were Killed and the Property All Gone]

[Linacis Bandit Group’s Headquarter Was Destroyed and Nothing Was Left Except 66 Dead Bodies, Others Still Missing]

Like the wind, rumors of bandit crashing spread throughout the Frontier over just a few days!

Bill Bandit Group might not be famous for its small territory, but it had the best bandits! None of its members were small figures!

Seventy Battle Blade Bandit Group was a small group too, but it had a reputation for its boldness! It had once assaulted a caravan escorted by 300 mercenaries, which was in fact very renowned, had been totally thrashed!

As for the Linacis Bandit Group, it was not only the brand of the Top Ten Bandit Groups in the Frontier but also the nightmare of caravans, mercenaries, and even other bandit groups!

These names were not only wanted in the Zence Empire but also in the Demons’ territory!

Many mercenary groups and adventurers had made a bold attempt for the bounty that was enough to live the rest of their lives, but none of them had made it back. Those outlaws were still looting, robbing, burning, and raping. From time to time, they would even launch an attack towards the fortress.

Just at the time when the Mercenary Union were considering sending out a troop to dismay the bandits, everything changed in the Frontier overnight!

The cross bandits who had lived like tyrants suddenly restrained themselves. They only maintained operations to sustain themselves. Other than that, every group was quiet.

There were bandit groups letting out the information that they were going after those bandit-hunters! Linacis Bandit Group, the top 5, had declared a war the day right after Seventy Battle Blade Bandit Group was brought to a complete collapse.

Against all expectations, the well-hidden headquarter of Linacis Bandit Group was exterminated just a few hours after the declaration.

There were 500 members. Except the 66 who got themselves killed, the rest all vanished from the Frontier like a pool of water evaporated in the sun. No one knew where they had gone.

Feng Linacis, the leader who happened to be at the Black Wind’s base at that time, had been around boasting that he would kill all the hunters once and for all.

“Damn the hunters!” Holding both hands behind his back, Feng Linacis paced back and forth in the Black Wind tent. “How dare they write me a letter after robbed me of all the things I have at headquarters?”

Black Wind, the leader of the Bandit Group, took over the letter and read it through. Above his eyes, the place where eyebrows were supposed to be at was bald with nothing. Only from the corners of his mouth could people read his true expression. That was a slow sly smile.

“Interesting.” His shoulders shuddered and his black coat woven by eagle hair.

“Interesting?” Feng Linacis touched his hook nose and said with anger, “Black Wind, my place was robbed only because I was here to help you clean your so-called traitors! Now you told me it was interesting?”

Black Wind bit his laughter off and handed the letter to a young warrior nearby. Picking up the bowl, he gulped all the wine down. The letter did sound interesting.

Usually, it was the bandit group who wrote the blackmail letter, asking for money to release the goods or the caravan members.

But now the budding bandit-hunter, who had destroyed Linacis Bandit Group’s headquarters, grabbed the goods and caught the bandits, dared to write to the leader for money. They even threatened to send the bandits to Zence for the bounty to make up for their loss if the ransom wasn’t delivered on time.

“They want to make up for their frigging losses?” Thumping and crashing the table, Feng Linacis growled, “What did they lose? It is me who has suffered a loss, OK? My headquarter is down… My men are down, and my face is gone! They are the bandits! That’s right, they are the robbers, and they are asking me for money?”
