Chapter 119: Anko vs Tobirama

Goddess of Ice; Reborn as Naruto's twin sister

Chapter 119: Anko vs Tobirama

Anko approached the second Hokage, Tobirama Senju, with a smile on her face.

“Hehe, what a wild day. Who would have thought that I would be fighting the Second Hokage today?”

“Indeed, I also didn’t expect that I would be fighting against Konoha shinobi one day. And it is even due to the jutsu I created. I hope you can stop me properly; I would rather not be responsible for killing any of Konoha’s shinobi.”

“Well, you are clearly not in your peak condition and I am rather used to fighting against someone with the water style, so I will manage somehow. In the worst case, I can just try to stall you long enough for Yuna to finish her fight.”

Tobirama took a look at the fight Anko was talking about and really didn’t know what to say about it. Ice and trees were constantly pushing each other back and forth, while explosions could be heard, occasionally. He could only shake his head and put his focus back on Anko.

“I really wonder where that monster came from, but since she is part of Konoha I can’t comp… Careful a jutsu is coming.”

In the middle of his sentence, Tobirama felt that his body started to move without any input from his side. He started forming hand signs at an insane speed and moments later, shot a massive amount of water that formed itself into a massive dragon at Anko.

“[Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu]”

Anko clicked her tongue when she saw the massive dragon approach her and started weaving hand seals as well.

“[Earth Style: Rock Shelter]”

As soon as the half-sphere of rock surrounded her completely, Anko went through the same hand seals two more times to thicken the half-sphere even further, and moments later, the water dragon smashed into Anko’s defense.

Hearing the loud rumbling from the dragon crashing into her earth wall, Anko could only be thankful that Yuna convinced her to learn a few basic earth jutsu. There is no way she could have blocked that attack with her fire jutsu or her snakes, after all.

She didn’t wait idly for the jutsu to pass and instead used the time to use the [Earth Style: Hidden Mole Jutsu] to burrow into the ground. She already had a pretty good idea what kind of jutsu would come next, so she waited and prepared her chakra for her counteroffensive.

Moments later, a powerful jet of water hit her rock barrier and sliced it apart.

‘I knew it! When confronted with an earth-style defense, Hinata always uses something to slice it apart, since it is the best method a water user has to break through it. If my assumption was wrong, I would have to use the chakra I have gathered for defense, but since I guessed right, I can use it for its intended purpose.’

As soon as the water jet had passed over her hiding place, Anko jumped out of it with her hands already doing the tiger hand seal.

“[Fire Style: Fire Annihilation]”

A massive wall of fire was shot at Tobirama, who was still not done with his previous jutsu. Seeing the wall of fire approaching him, Tobirama quickly interrupted the [Water Style: Severing Wave] jutsu he was currently using, simply because he knew that a little bit of high-pressure water wouldn’t help him against such a huge fire jutsu.

He considered dodging the attack, but it was already too late for that. He could use a water jutsu to defend himself but decided not to bother with it, he was, after all, reanimated and wouldn’t die anyway. Tobirama smirked a little when he noticed that his body actually obeyed that command.

‘I see, as long as it isn’t unreasonable, I can control my movements to some extent. Hastily creating a water jutsu might have been equally dangerous or even more dangerous than simply tanking the fire jutsu, so I could choose what to do. I hope my opponent, I think it was Anko, can use this chance.’

The moment the fire jutsu passed him, the ground underneath Tobirama’s still damaged body broke open and dozens of snakes shot out of it. Tobirama smirked again and jumped upwards. Although that dodged the snakes, he was now in midair without anywhere to go.

‘Hehe, how shameful. It seems like this jutsu of mine is rather flawed.’

“[Many Hidden Shadow Snake Hands]”

Yet again, a massive number of snakes flooded the battlefield and shot towards Tobirama. Tobirama could feel the control over his body dwindle and he could only click his tongue in annoyance. He had already seen that move previously, so he knew how to counter it. His hands started moving to prepare the next jutsu to get rid of the snakes, but just when he was about to shoot it, the first snake reached him and bit his leg.

Tobirama ignored it at first, but to his surprise, his chakra was slightly disturbed while the snake was biting him. He looked at the approaching snakes and noticed that quite a few of them actually had seals on them. Before he could react, the second and third snake had reached him as well, disturbing his chakra even further.

As more and more snakes bit into him, the flow of his chakra became messier and messier. Anko, meanwhile, looked rather exhausted and was breathing heavy, but still had a smirk on her face.

“Oops, I accidentally said the wrong name. What I wanted to say was: [A Thousand Sealing Snakes], hehe. Oh yeah, thanks for the support during the fight. Without you making weird decisions I couldn’t have done it.”

Tobirama nodded towards Anko in acknowledgment. He, naturally, didn’t mind being tricked with the jutsu name. Or rather, he approved of such a tactic. In his opinion, being a shinobi is all about information warfare and Anko demonstrated that she clearly knew what she was doing.

“Despite me helping you out during the fight, that was still very well executed. With people like you in Konoha, there is no need to fear for its future. Additionally, I see a lot of potential in whatever method you use to absorb natural energy. I suggest you put more focus into developing that. Natural energy can grant an incredible boost in pretty much every aspect and being able to use it instantly erases its greatest weakness.”

“Haha, to be praised by the second Hokage himself, what an honor. As for the method I use to absorb natural energy, I only started learning it a month ago, so there, naturally, is still quite a bit to learn about it.”

Although Tobirama was slightly surprised that Anko has only been using that technique for a month, he still nodded in acknowledgment.

“Very well, you should seal me properly now. This jutsu won’t be able to hold me forever.”

Anko nodded her head and pulled a sealing tag out of one of her weapon holsters. Tobirama couldn’t help but marvel at its complexity.

“Where did you find such a complex sealing tag and why are you carrying it around so casually? That thing should be incredibly expensive and hard to make, right?”

Anko could only look weirdly at Tobirama.

‘Hard to make? Expensive? Yuna casually handed me a few dozen of them while saying: “In case you need to seal something”… Now that I think about it more closely, they probably ARE very expensive, huh? After all, Yuna made them. Who knows what kind of ridiculous features these things have? Oh well, who cares.’

“Well, I have no clue about how hard it is to make or what it costs since Yuna made it and gave it to me for free.”

“Yuna? That madwoman over there that is beating up my brother while laughing with two different voices? She MADE it?”

“Hey, no need to look at me like I am an idiot okay. She might not look the part right now, but when she isn’t fighting, she is very intelligent. It’s just that as soon she has to fight someone that interests her…well…you can see what happens.”

Another bout of crazy laughter echoed out of the frozen forest where Yuna was fighting, but Tobirama decided that he would just ignore that.

“Whatever, seal me already.”

“Haha, okay, okay.”

Anko approached Tobirama and put the seal on his chest. Tobirama was just about to tell Anko that it would be more efficient to put the seal on his head when massive amounts of seals exploded out of the sealing tag and surrounded Tobirama instantly. Tobirama’s eyes widened when he saw how fast the seal was taking effect.

“Ridicul…”

That was all he could say before he was sealed away and all that remained of him was a small token on the ground that had “Seal ID004” written on it.

Anko gave the token a weird look and took out a small box that Yuna had given to her together with the seals. At first, she had no idea what she was supposed to do with it, but now she knew. She picked up the token and placed it into the box. There was actually a designated place that had “004” written over it and even a bit of space to write down what was actually sealed inside the token. Only now did Anko notice, that the box should have around the same number of slots for tokens as seals she had been given.

‘Seriously, how does she find the time to build something like this? We spend pretty much the whole day together, but she still manages to pull out all kinds of trinkets. Anyway, I am pretty close to the limit, but I guess I should at least see how the old man is doing against Orochimaru. Maybe I can sneak in and stealthily cut off Orochimaru’s head. That would be rather satisfying.’
