Chapter 118 - I’m Smaller Now

Everybody is Kung Fu Fighting, While I Started a Farm

Chapter 118: I’m Smaller Now

Mu Wanqiu’s eyes widened and she could not help exclaiming, “When did that happen?”

“Just a while ago.”

Jiang He recalled things abit as he said, “I first cut off a chunk of its tail, and thought that it was quite delicious after I cooked it. Then, after I killed the Earth Demon Heavenly General and the Tranquil Heavenly General and started to felt bored while waiting for the Martial Arts Department (MAD) to come, I went over to the valley of snakes for a bit.”

Taking a bite out of his carrot, Jiang He leaned back on his sofa and added, “I was thinking that it wasn’t far, and the snake was quite tasty so I simply killed it. I had no idea it would mess up your plans.”

Delicious?

Bored?

And then simply killing a rank-seven intermediate Feral?

Mu Wanqiu turned silent, unsure how to continue the conversation.

Most importantly, when had rank-seven intermediate Ferals become that weak?

One should know that even for rank-seven pinnacle grandmasters, defeating rank-seven intermediate Ferals were easy, but killing them was difficult.

Still, Jiang He had accomplished too many miracles. Come to think of it, killing a rank-seven intermediate python did not amount to much, considering that he had killed Pain Star and Killer Star, as well as Kun of the Left, an elder of the Sky Demon Cult.

Mu Wanqiu squeezed out a smile after musing to herself for some time, saying, “It’s a good thing that you’ve killed the Leopard Python to save the people. Well, I’ll gather more intelligence after I get back, although there aren’t many Ferals near Lingzhou City. Moreover, most of the powerful Ferals are concentrated at Mount Dadong, where the Graywolf King is… I would need to investigate things further and see if there are any spotting of rank-seven Ferals at other locations.

Mount Dadong?

As a matter of fact, Jiang He was very interested in Mount Dadong since it was uninhabited for hundreds of miles with countless powerful Ferals, but he would not be going for now with the Graywolf King’s presence.

Safety was Jiang He’s policy. Why go to Mount Dadong when he was no confident in killing his target?

“We could widen the area if there’s none near Lingzhou City, such as Mount Luo or Mount Helan… I’m not convinced there wouldn’t be any Ferals there in those Mountains.”

Jiang He urged.

After all, he had already promised Mu Wanqiu he would help, and since he was idling anyway, he could catch a few Ferals for her as soon as possible and then manage his farm in peace.

The only question was…

How was he supposed to tame a beast?

He only ever encountered one real beast-tamer before—it was that D-class Sky Demon Cult beast-tamer who came with that unlucky rank-four named Cordo to start some trouble at Jinyintan Village. Still, he was blown into pieces by a pea bomb before they had a chance to talk.

“Maybe I could try developing a beast-taming method…”

Jiang He thought inwardly, whereas Mu Wanqiu changed the subject, smiling, “Jiang He, I’ve heard that you’ve slain Kun of the Left. He was the Sixth Elder of the Sky Demon Cult and holds a noble rank, so you must have received much rewards, hadn’t you?”

“That’s the other thing you came to talk about? You’re really a businesswoman, Miss Mu!” Jiang He teased.

“But Kun of the Left was quite poor—he only had one S-grade alloy combat blade and sixteen S-grade alloy flying daggers. He did not even carry cash, let alone a single golden ingot.”

Rising to his feet, Jiang He added, “I left those at the storeroom. Wait a moment, I’ll go get them now.”

In fact, Jiang He had kept the S-grade combat blade in his System Backpack. Still, he should not take it out directly in front of Mu Wanqiu, so he had to pretend for a bit at the storeroom.

Before he left, he went to the luxurious kitchen, where Sora was cooking.

She was wearing an apron she got from somewhere and was frying the python meat proficiently.

“She’s actually quite good at cooking… it seems that I’ve worried too much. This must be a maid’s mandatory skill, right? If that’s the case, I won’t need a kitchen helper now.” Jiang He nodded subtly and smiled contentedly.

Still…

Jiang He is being constantly reminded of the plot in certain movies when she is cooking in that maid costume.

After that, he feigned going to the storeroom, and then returned with the combat blade.

Mu Wanqiu gently stroked the back of the blade, her beautiful eyes twinkling as she said, “Kun of the Left must have been carrying this blade around with him and honing it with his True Qi. From the grief and killing intent lingering on its edge, he must have used it to kill frequently!”

“What a shame…”

“If Kun of the Left was a top elite who had grasped blade will and nurtured his blade with blade will, even helping it develop a certain extent of consciousness, this blade would have been worth no less than three hundred million dollars. Right now, the highest price I could offer you is sixty-eight million.”

“Oh?”

Jiang He was naturally aware of what ‘blade-will’ was.

At Mu Wanqiu’s words, he said unhappily, “I did hear Commander Chen mentioning that Kun of the Left had learned blade will, but that must have been recent and he probably did not have the time to nurture his combat blade… Oh, why would that bastard be in such a hurry to provoke me? Can’t he wait for a few days and hone his sword before coming?”

Mu Wanqiu: “…”

She became reluctant to talk.

Nonetheless, dinner was soon ready.

Sora placed the dishes on the dinner table, and only then did she come to Jiang He and said sweetly, “Master, dinner’s ready.”

Smiling, Jiang He rose to his feet and said, “Come dine with me, Mu Wanqiu.”

Mu Wanqiu, however, was looking at Sora in surprise… how did Jiang He manage to discipline a beauty with such good looks and glamor? She would actually call him ‘master’ with someone else around?

And not only was her cosplay alluring, she was even in-character, acting as if she really was a maid?

“I’ll pass this time. I’ve eaten before I came… Eh? How does that smell so nice?”

Mu Wanqiu had wanted to decline, but smelled an alluring scent before she could finish. So, she had to stiffen herself and sit at the dinner table, saying, “Alright, I’ll have a smaller portion. Let’s see how delicious the Leopard Python’s meat is.”

The dishes were simple.

White rice.

Stir-fired eggplant with meat, cucumber coleslaw with carrot shreds.

Still, when it comes to price, those two dishes would be worth millions. The worth of the carrot and the cucumber notwithstanding, the eggplant alone would drive the masses crazy with its properties, such as easing swells, stopping bleeding, and promoting longevity.

Mu Wanqiu first had a taste of the meat fillets, and felt as if the pores all over her body was opening up.

She then took a bite of the eggplant…

And exclaimed in shock and a face full of disbelief. “Are eggplants that tasty?”

Hence, her ‘smaller portion’ became two bowls of rice, just as she single-handedly devoured half the dishes.

Jiang He was scowling after he walked her out.

“Glutton!

“Such an appetite!

“I haven’t had my fill, and the dishes are already gone…”

Jiang he hence blacklisted Mu Wanqiu amongst the guests of his dinner table.

Taking out a big cucumber, Jiang He told Sora contentedly, “The food was not bad. Here, this is your reward…”

With that, Jiang He went up to the swimming pool on the third floor and had a good bath.

Afterward, he lay on the comfortable Simmons bedding. All Jiang He felt was comfort and the impulse to jump and roll over the bed… That was something the narrow space in his sports car would never compare to.

It was only around 12 midnight when Jiang He fell asleep peacefully.

However, he was soon woken up by a WeChat video call.

Groggily answering the call, all he heard was Mu Wanqiu’s thrilled voice, with the lens aimed straight at her chest as she shrieked, “It shrank! Jiang He, I’m smaller now…”
