Chapter 348: Guise’s Death (Part 2)

Daniel did not notice the emergence of the poly spirit beasts. As he guarded the entrance of the magic tower, he was just concerned about whether or not the pirates were under attack. The spirits summoned by the three kings would not die. At most, they would only be banished back to the death dimension.
At this moment, spirits were dominating the area outside the magic tower, and red soul flames could be seen everywhere. It was unknown whether or not Judikaka had summoned some high-grade death creatures on purpose. These death creatures had come forth after detecting the summons by the kings, and they themselves also had death flames.
These spirits could even summon other weaker spirits. If the battle became tough, that four-thousand-strong crowd of spirits could potentially double in size.
A king was not just a status of grade in the death dimension. Judikaka and his brothers actually had their own citizens. They were the kings of these spirits, possessing the ability to command the spirits at will.
When all of this becomes mine, it will be great!
As Daniel fantasized, he recalled the pikoosi and instructed the pirates to surround the magic tower. If anything went wrong, he would be the first to escape into the magic tower.
Boom! Pa…
An evil dragon’s corpse exploded suddenly, causing bloody flesh to be flung in all directions, even killing some black puppets at the same time. All of the black puppets’ flesh converged towards the poly spirit beasts, and this process took place silently.
“What have the two of you done to us?!” Judikaka regained his composure, feeling as if the chains around his soul had disappeared. However, he knew that although he could no longer feel the entrapment, Saleen and Aini would still be able to control them anytime they desired. It was scariest when one could no longer feel the bindings.
The three kings had only been able to feel the chains from the scepter after one thouand years. However, the scepter had already trapped them for tens of thousands of years.
“This is just a small punishment,” Aini laughed. Then, he pointed upwards, wanting Judikaka to lead the attack,
“I will never…”
Before waiting for Judikaka to finish his sentence, Aini said, “Judikaka, if you don’t go, I will reduce you to a low-grade puppet. At most, I will only waste some energy commanding you. Saleen and I are only grade-5 mages, so our lives are extremely short. Once we die, you will all be free.”
Aini lied. It was true that he and Saleen were grade-5 mages. However, it was a lie that their lives were very short. They were so young, and as long as they did not get into any accidents, it would only be a matter of time before they became sorcerers. After becoming sorcerers, their lives would be prolonged. If they managed to advance to grade-9, they would live for more than one thouand years. And if they went past grade-9, no one would know when they would die anymore.
Indeed, a spirit king’s life was protracted, but who could predict the life of a sorcerer?
Judikaka clenched his teeth forcefully, producing a loud metallic grinding sound. However, he still turned around and went up the stairway. There was a believer at the top of this magic tower, but Judikaka did not care about that at this moment. He had really become someone else’s contract creature. He was no longer a creature which had snuck through the planes.
It was a joke given that Judikaka had still been planning to trick Aini. Unexpectedly, the three fellows who were over ten thousand years old had been cheated by two humans who were not even over forty years old, even with their ages combined.
Back then, when Shanglan deceived us, it seemed like he was not even thirty years old, was he?
Cunning humans, evil humans, wretched humans. Judikaka might have been cursing the humans in his mind, but he did not dare defy Aini’s orders. He knew that it was only a matter of time if Aini wanted to kill them. The kings’ souls possessed unparalleled power, but after being chained, a death mage like Aini would have countless ways of restraining them.
Rules, planes, contracts…
Judikaka grew depressed. The three of them had been too careless and overconfident. Hopefully, Aini will be right. Anyway, these two humans have short lives. I shall just regard it as…
Judikaka consoled himself without a care for his companions.
Saleen clapped his hands, then said, “Banchajanna, Diyabannersa, go up now.”
The two kings followed Judikaka upstairs obediently, but Saleen knew that only Diyabannersa was truly subdued. Diyabannersa would not betray him, but Banchajanna could create trouble. That fellow had a kind of uncertainty about himself.
The three kings did not lose their morale because Saleen and Aini were not around. Even though their offensive power had decreased due to the contract, their powers were still at grade-9. This was another type of planar rule. Since the death dimension and the Myers Mainland were not faraway from each other, the kings’ abilities would not be reduced too much and would not drop to grade-8.
Aini and Saleen were pretty excited. They had three grade-9 spirits as henchmen now! From this day onwards, they would not be harassed easily anymore. In a rare moment, Saleen was seen smiling in a strange manner as he began making plans for the city base once again.
Back on the fifth story, Guise was desperately wanting to escape. He could feel three powerful beings approaching him slowly. But if he left just like that, what would happen to the mineral veins under the relic? Fycro would definitely kill him. But if Guise did not escape, he would be killed by those three people.
Guise was extremely frustrated, unlike his usual calm self. He knew that if he escaped now, Fycro would never spare his life. Furthermore, Fycro would be mocked by the other oracles. Underneath this magic tower, there were dozens of divine officers, hundreds of monks, and many more riders and slaves. These people dug at the veins day and night. The veins had been mined for several years, and at this moment, the main vein had been discovered. If Guise gave up now, Fycro’s rage would be unimaginable.
If there was only one spirit king present, Guise might have still stood a chance because he had a partial divine weapon gifted by the oracle. But if he wanted to fight against three spirit kings, he would have to wield a true divine weapon and be one grade higher.
The three skeletons transformed from the three kings had reached the fifth story. There was no ceiling on this story, only pure light. The Cleansing spell was everywhere. Had the three kings been reduced to grade-8, they could possibly have been in trouble. However, with the undeniable difference in grades right now, the Cleansing spell did not cause much harm to the three spirit kings.
However, the three kings were very annoyed at the moment, and they did not want to deal with the holy light. Without waiting for Saleen’s command, Diyabannersa lunged at Guise.
Diyabannersa was so swift that it caused Guise to see illusions. It was as though dozens of skeletons around two meters tall were charging forward, creating many shadows.
With a boom, Diyabannersa’s fist had landed on Guise’s chest.
Psss…
A piercing sound filled the air, and Diyabannersa’ fist was burnt black. A cavity had appeared on the thorax region of Guise’s white robe, but Guise’s skin was free from damage.
What strong defense! Right at that moment, Saleen had walked up and witnessed this scene. Diyabannersa had not exerted his full force. As his speed had been increased, he had no time to muster sufficient strength. However, the impact from this punch was already beyond horrifying. Had Saleen received this punch, he would not even have been able to defend himself against it.
It seems like divine spells are the nemesis of spirits. In the future, this must be noted. If there were higher grade holy masters around, the three kings would not have been able to win, Saleen warned himself mentally. He could not be smug just because he had subdued the three kings. The only thing a mage could rely on was their own magic chords.
Diyabannersa had punched Guise, but he had only managed to bust a hole in his clothes. In fact, Diyabannersa’s fist was severely injured. Those red soul flames in his eyes flickered vigorously, and another fist was delivered at lightning speed, hitting the same spot as before. This time around, even Saleen saw it clearly. A piece of holy text had appeared on the holy master’s skin, blocking that punch by Diyabannersa. After the holy text negated Diyabannersa’s punch, another thunderous sound was produced. Diyabannersa’s fist was like a snowball which had been thrown into a fire, and his fist had become half its original size.
Fortunately, the three kings possess such wicked defensive abilities. If I was the attacker, even the current cutter would be ineffective, right?
Saleen did not know that Guise was secretly feeling helpless. That skill which provided protection through the holy texts had been gifted to him by Fycro. There was a grand total of twenty holy texts, so Guise would only be able to resist twenty of such attacks. The skeleton was too swift, so Guise could only employ such a skill. Otherwise, he would be killed by that skeleton in a second.
“If you leave, I will not kill you.” Suddenly, Saleen opened his mouth and began speaking gently to Guise.
Pu…
Diyabannersa had delivered another punch. He could not believe that a mere holy master could keep resisting his blows. Anyway, his fist would be regenerated. At most, it would recover in a few years. However, there was something wrong with the enemy’s defenses. Since the power did not originate from the body, the enemy’s defenses would eventually be penetrated.
In reality, Guise had been fully concentrated. But after listening to Saleen, he became distracted. As a result, his protective holy text only appeared after Diyabannersa’s third punch landed on his skin. A simple sentence from Saleen had caused his heart to waver.
That damn grade-5 mage…
As Guise thought to himself, he saw a massive axe descending from above. Banchajanna could not stand watching Diyabannersa fight like this. He was in a terrible mood, and wanted to vent his fury by killing someone. Banchajanna did not reveal his true form, simply using one of his six weapons, but his axe was still a very lethal weapon.
A grey ray of light was trailing the axe. This was not a shadow, it was an air flow which originated from the numerous souls which had been slaughtered by this axe.
Boom!
Banchajanna’s axe landed ruthlessly on Guise’s head, causing Guise’s face to ripple. This time around, a piece of holy text had only appeared for less than a thousandth of a second before disappearing. All of a sudden, the skin on Guise’s face exploded. All the flesh above his neck had been burst by a mysterious force in that instant.
Banchajanna had merely used his axe and had already been able to turn Guise into a skeleton filled with bloody flesh.
Guise tried to open the book in his hand. The book was his partial divine weapon. However, Diyabannersa delivered his fifth and sixth punches consecutively, causing Guise to lose all the strength in his hands.
Banchajanna stared at the axe which was nearly destroyed. There was a chip on this large axe which was the size of a watermelon. Banchajanna could not believe that his axe, which had been fortified with fine gold, had been damaged by a human’s skull.
Out of the blue, a bone spear appeared in Judikaka’s hands. This bone spear had been summoned using death magic. In the blink of an eye, Judikaka had stabbed more than one hundred times with the spear. After the barrage of attacks, only half a spear remained.
Guise gave a deadly glare at the three spirit kings. He had given up retaliating, and was only a thought away from dying in this magic tower. That snow white robe had been contaminated with his bloody flesh, looking like blooming cherry blossoms which were strewn across snowy ground. Saleen noticed that the holy master’s skull had been exposed after the flesh was torn away. His skull looked amazingly clear and transparent, like a perfect piece of crystal.
